Their goal wasn’t offside but the throw in before the corner should have been ours.

Barcelona couldn't progress with a 0-3 win against our side without Firmino and Salah

Anyone who thinks Atletico with 0-1 have a chance against a stronger and more experienced side is basically deluded and should consult their doctor

Simeone threw the tie away settling for 1 home goal

Liverpool are through to the next round

Approximately 73 decisions that Atletico got should have been ours

They have zero chances with a competent ref at Anfield

as i said during the game our first touch was woeful all night which took all momentum out of move after move and we looked toothless all night. The return leg is going to be a nailbiter by the looks of it .

Better than if we were selecting from PGMOL referees

Man Utd recently beating Chelsea thanks to a referee from Greater Manchester and a VAR referee from Manchester shows that

Frustrating night, we were sub-par, they were annoying, the ref was a tool

Let's just get 'em back to ours and do them

I haven't watched a game from a BT source for a while - I'd forgotten how annoying their commentary team is.

I am going to claim a #calledit here
As I posted that a homer ref and the ability to frustrate us is the blue print to beating us
It is very difficult to do
But Madrid are more than capable of doing it
I firmly believe we will have to score 3 on the return and I think we will struggle to do that.
Before we repeat all the other teams that we have bested they were not this simeone side
We are definitely a better team but this side as I have said before is set up to nullify us
I hope Klopp has seen a weakness
Fwiw I think we should run at them but this is not going to be easy
I do make us the underdogs just right now as we played as they home team last night and we barely had a chance

My concerns from last night have not ebbed and after watching some highlights they may be worse.

We didn't control the game, we had the ball more, Madrid where more than happy to let us have it, considering we did absolutely nothing with it.

Not only did they score, but if they had a half way decent striker they should of had more. Why anybody thinks they are going to come to Anfield and crumble is beyond me.

Our performance needs to be much much better second leg, if they get 1 it's all over and done with.

Well done. That's 1 right out of the last 60 or so. <laugh>
And it's not as though everyone else said it would be easy.

Just because we had the lion's share of possession doesn't mean we played like the home team. The atmosphere and the attitude of the players will be very different in the 2nd leg. Imagine how the crowd is going to be up for this. The danger is getting beyond the hour mark without anything to show for it.
Be positi........ Ooops, sorry - forgot who I was talking to.

    Lol
By home team I mean they will do exactly what they did last night and will be very very comfy doing it
We will get all the comments of plenty of time etc but we barely laid a glove on them last night
They played the blueprint perfectly (that was my caked it) I actually think it’s easy to beat us but you need the right ref
I will bet that we don’t get a homer ref in return leg :(

    Genuinely
    I don’t think we are ****e
Nor do I think we were terrible last night
They are just the team that is sort of designed to nullify us
We just need to come up with a plan and execute it
I just don’t think it’s a guarantee we are getting through this
Will have to drown my sorrows with that PL pot lmao :)
