He has had a mare in most games this season bar Crystal Palace. He is appalling at every aspect of the game other than choffing the pre match meal
To be honest, I'm surprised you didn't do more to sell him in the Summer of 2017 when he gave 'that' interview. And, to make it worse, he did it with The Sun - the most morally bankrupt tabloid out there! It became patently obvious that he was trying to engineer a move to a 'bigger' club. No-one was really interested in him, so he was stuck where he was. However, I can't imagine an interview like that (saying he had to Google some of the players you were linked with) would have gone down well with the senior management and players in the dressing room. It's incredibly disrespectful. Especially as you finished the season just gone in 2nd place with 86 points. More definitely should have been made of this. How Pochettino let him play after that ****show is a mystery. Disgraceful behaviour from someone who would have been an average nobody, had it not been for the perseverance of Pochettino and other coaching staff at your club.
OK I get why Mane's goal was not chalked off by VAR. I mean at this stage of the season it's even less likely that VAR are going to do anything that might impede the entitlement of Liverpool. However VAR also gives a second chance (if the ref misses it) to help them. After all, didn't Palace have a goal disallowed when VAR spotted a foul on a Liverpool defender (marginal) that was not spotted just before Palace scored? That goal was ruled out. And that's the beauty of VAR. It can justify almost anything because it's all "scientific" now. And the pundits aren't going to disagree because it's much easier to agree with a decision that goes Liverpool's way than disagree with it. Same with refs and VAR - make a dodgy decision against just about any other team any it's quickly forgotten. Make that same decision against Liverpool and it will be debated to death. VAR is on rocky ground at the moment - there isn't a chance it's going to rule against Liverpool. And before someone quotes decisions that have gone against them - how many points has that cost Liverpool?
He was injured, so we couldn't sell him. Didn't play a game until October and only played 10 Premier League games that season.
I've said in the past that, prior to that interview, anyone who stepped out of line with Poch was rapidly shown the door, be it Kaboul, Adebayor, Townsend or Bentaleb - so it was expected that he'd be out the door after that, yet instead he got the benefit of the doubt and was allowed to stay, even though he was never the player he was before... especially in training, given he's been overweight for several years I doubt it's a coincidence that, after Rose was shown leniency, we started seeing other players act out knowing they could get away with it if Danny Rose could, notably Toby playing silly buggers over his contract
This is just an absolutely incredible blinkered way of looking at this issue, I don't recall a single game that hasn't had a contentious VAR issues, fans of all teams hate it, everyone can point to VAR decisions that's gone against their team, rival fans can point to VAR decisions that have gone for your team. But you want to highlight just one team as the benefiter of it (which stats don't back up)? 'Make that same decision against Liverpool and it will be debated to death' do you think you yourself are guilty of this?
I'm not sure deciding whether to sign a new contract is playing silly buggers. He has the basic human right to decide on his own future. Whereas Rose running his mouth off to The Sun was unforgivable (although apparently supported by his teammates?).
Almost identical situations, two different outcomes. I leave it to you to decide if it is favouritism or just plain incompetence
Thats vimhawk mate, he doenst reply if it doesnt suit his agenda As you can see, he mentioned nothing about vvd being held by two players every corner we had
Liverpool are by far the best team in the country atm and probably the best team on the planet, I don’t particularly like it and hope it’s only a short term reign but it’s true. Some fans will refuse to admit it and use any excuse to downplay their achievements but deep down they know.
It's a cliche - but no less true for that - that the League table doesn't lie. As far as the planet goes, I'll reserve judgement until after the Atletico games. I personally feel they got a little lucky in CL last year - Group stages they squeaked through and Barca should kick themselves into next week (like Ajax) for letting them get back into the semi final. And of course they met a below par team in the final. Nothing lucky about their PL form this year (and last) and if they can handle the Spanish teams in the CL this year, then you cannot deny them best on Planet label.
Youre really stretching the word lucky, considering weve been in the last 2 cl finals in a row. That doesnt really work for most people. Btw we ripped barca apart in BOTH legs last year. Dont let the 3 nil loss in the 1st leg fool you or add to your agenda that everything we get is "luck" or "var" or "dodgy refs" or whatever it is this week. Should we beat athletico, i am more than confident well be playing our 3rd cl final in a row this year. That would be some luck eh? 3 in a row? Jokers
Come on Bobby - I expected better than that from you (not so much Sucky). Did this sentence not register with you either? Nothing lucky about their PL form this year (and last) and if they can handle the Spanish teams in the CL this year, then you cannot deny them best on Planet label.
