I had a reply deleted as I had the audacity to suggest you seem a genuine bloke posting stuff in good faith that you had received in good faith. Reason given "Petty Bickering".

Never had anything deleted before nor any bans or warnings.

Support for you seems to touch a nerve over there! Lifetime ban is a lot OTT in my opinion. You didn't say anything wrong in the post or the subsequent conversations. Its a crazy reaction really.

 

The first three names on that list are arguably the three biggest annoyances on that board. Instead of a medal you get a lifetime ban. Sums the place up.

A life time ban is a blessing in disguise. The majority are good posters but the minority wums/permanently negative liars and idiotic moderating make it a pile of ****e to post on. With a bit of luck the good ones come over here.

I always try to be logical, reasonable and polite ...

... I only ever fire back if I'm being insulted or attacked and never receive any help from the Mods. I don't use bad language, insult people's mentality and I accept people's right to an opinion ... whether I agree with that opinion or not.

I was once banned by Pancho, although he later denied it, for 'inappropriate use of the report button'. What a horrible little man.

It's obviously my love of Sunderland, intolerance for the Mags & trolls on there and popularity that winds them up.

I only went back to correct a few lies that have been posted during my previous three months ban so this doesn't bother me. The forum idiots were quite keen to insult me and tell lies when I was unable to respond, but as soon as they have to back up what they're saying, they become hysterical. They totally ignored my post and just launched into petty personal bickering for which I was blamed.

The ironic thing is that these idiots are driving people away yet they are protected by the Mods ...

My main point was that they utterly over reacted to what was an innocuous post to put the record straight after your ban. Then continued with the slash and burn of anyone who had the cheek to stick up for you. Its pretty pathetic all things considered. I have said before over there you can either believe stuff posted or choose to not believe it. No one needs to get abusive but a fair few cannot seem to help themselves. A lot of whats said would not be said face to face in the pub but they are happy to hide behind their keyboards and snipe away.

I suppose what it boils down to is taking the line of least resistance, ban one poster for nothing while allowing the **** stirrers to get away with it and cutting down on the paperwork by removing the perceived cause of the "trouble" rather than looking at those who are escalating the issue in the first place by abusing people unnecessarily.

Cant see it will change until theres a zero tolerance on abusive posts that gets rid of the idiots on there permanently.

 

Or the boss is past caring and believes his money tree will continue to flourish regardless.

He went on the board to say he'd close it down if the trolls continued then sat back and watched it continue while site traffic is well down.

I'm not bothered, on a personal level, just sad that what was an excellent forum has sunk so low.

I've always said they enjoy the trolls over there and the mag WUMs as it brings in more traffic.

Look at Sima ffs he totally mugged Roger off even said he was going to go out in a blaze of glory insulting a popular member of the board yet I got a warning for showing people his post.

Look at the long line of sad mad trolls who are just on a wind up or ones who pretend to be Sunderland fans. It's the same knackers over and over again it's clear as day to see but is anything done?

Nope as that would mean less traffic which means less revenue.

I never posted much but used to enjoy reading the debates but it’s impossible now.Point scoring and posters so in love with themselves it’s pathetic.

Been on there since 2002. It has done me since then, not a prolific poster but came over here when I found out about it late last year. Does seem a lot more civilised here to be honest but I will still post over there as well as here
