Fair play. Honest assessment but we were almost at our best today. On our day even arsenal couldn’t handle us for a large part of the game with 200m worth of squad. All exaggeration btw
Phil Hay You'd say that an enforced break has done Kalvin Phillips the world of good. He's been an animal in the past two games and when he plays like he did today, the opposition are snookered. Surely his last season in the Championship. #lufc
On twitter tonight, some big raving reviews in regards to Harrison but a few fans feeling Pablo was just average today and it stood out as everyone else was on top of their game. For me, the chemistry is obviously right with the current starting 11. I’m hoping they stay fit for as long as possible now
I am proud of our side and believe our players did all they could based on selection and instruction from our management, you outplayed us, were the better team, are a class outfit and deserved your victory. I have no excuses except good luck, you have a Premier class team.
Maybe we should say he is the weakest link, if you’ve got 11 players someone has to be bottom of the pile
Phillips 9.5 you are either blind or ****ing stupid, he was 2.5 at best and that's only because all his sideways and backward passing found their man, he didn't make one forward pass, he didn't make any tackles, him and Klich didn't control midfield from the first until the last minute, he's useless. You and others like you should never be allowed to attend a match again, you obviously haven't got a clue what you're on about and should be ashamed to call yourselves Leeds fans
TBF Phillips could be getting £50,000 more a week this season, that's loyalty as far as I'm concerned.
Phillips very good steading influence, honesty preferred Viera and Lewis Cook, but he's come on leaps and bounds last 2 seasons.
well it’s loyalty if you believe it was his choice to stay people read too much into these things - kp is a Leeds fan a nice lad and a very good footballer - particularly in this system. Whatever disappointment he may have had in the summer he has knuckled down and no one could question his commitment. And it’s professionalism and commitment on the field fans should look for and be happy with. Loyalty is a fanciful and outdated quality in modern football. Players don’t get it from clubs, clubs don’t get it from players.
I think a lot of us preferred vieira as a talent, I thought Phillips was awful when he first came into the team. Well... he was awful. But he’s grown into a cracking footballer... so fair play to those who saw the potential at an early stage (including the managers who kept picking him). The rest of us (ok most of us!) have to take it on the chin and accept some saw potential we didn’t. Couldn’t be happier to be wrong.
