Mane saved us from what was a poor performance. Norwich were happy to let us have the ball and we could not create many chances, when we did we messed them up. 3 points is welcome, but we need to play a lot better mid week or we could get a severe beating
Not great to watch but did the job. So, Lee Dixon says no pen. when the defender has no eyes on the ball and arms wrapped around Virgil. So that is a legitimate challenge? And Dixon 'wants another look' at Mane's goal for a push on the defender? I despair
In real time I thought it looked like a push from Mané and I was expecting it to be chalked off. On the replays I couldn't really tell, so no "clear and obvious" error. Not the best performance - I think the conditions made it a lot more difficult than it looked on a screen. Still, 3 more in the bag, another clean sheet, and still not failed to score in a league game. We are just so lucky....
As i may have previously mentioned I'm anti VAR but if we have it could you actually use it to stop the absolutely blatent grabbing at dead ball situations .
We’ve been alright all season, played decent football and gone toe-to-toe and yet have repeatedly been engineering a loss for ourselves, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory - should have won so many games we haven’t, Spurs, Newcastle, etc etc. Today for some reason we didn’t gift you a goal to make it really easy for you. So if anything, that game tells us that we need a different option up front. Origi, ox, Shaq.....they’re not good enough to replace our front three.
first we need LB cover as we do have options up front ,even if not the best ,but there is no real alternative to Robbo at LB .
