on a wet windy day anything can happen a strong gust could via venture suck the ball right out of the stadium!
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that Kiko Casilla will start in goal against Bristol City, despite his error in Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Brentford. Second-placed Leeds have no new injury concerns for the visit of the Robins, who are seventh in the Championship but only three points behind the Whites. Bristol City will select from the same squad that beat Derby on Wednesday. Nahki Wells, Markus Henriksen and Filip Benkovic all made their first starts in the 3-2 home win over the Rams. Match facts Leeds have lost just one of their last 15 league games against Bristol City (W12 D2 L1), winning the last three in a row. Bristol City have lost seven of their last eight away games against Leeds (D1) in all competitions since a 3-1 win in November 1979. Leeds have conceded nine goals in their last five home league games (W1 D2 L2), having conceded just four in their opening 10 at Elland Road this season (W7 D2 L1). During his league managerial career, Bristol City manager Lee Johnson has only lost more games against Preston (9) and Wolves (6) than against Leeds (5). Pablo Hernandez has been directly involved in seven goals in six league appearances against Bristol City for Leeds United (three goals, four assists).
Once again zero creativity in the middle of the field, which puts the team under immense pressure. The ball just keeps coming back for the defence to deal with. Massengo needs a season on loan in L1 to get the lace of the English game, I was shocked to see him in the starting 11 again today tbh.
Quite possibly our worst performance of the season, and you only won with a scrappy goal. I still think you have bigger issues to overcome than us given the expectations of both sides.
Not so good from us, Leeds the better side.....As said, we lack creativity and IMO leadership on the field... Still the strange results come flooding in.......Fulham losing 3-0 at home to Barnsley and Preston losing 1-0 at home to Millwall....it's a lottery!!
I'm sorry but they were a class above us, they completely outplayed us and at times we looked gullible and leaderless, I won't mention our management performance, worse than a bad day at the office, thank god for Daniel Bentley. I watched the game on the Leeds stream.
Thank you..nice to see someone who knows the game and what happened today with an honest assessment, we were dominant from start to finish. I agree you looked leaderless on the pitch.
The truth usually hurts and unfortunately it sums up Bristol City in a nutshell and it doesn't look like we will ever reach the status of a challenger with this kind of apathy. Jekyll and Hyde just about sums up our last few seasons and until we decide what we want to be, and more importantly how to meet those criteria, we will continue to wander the wilderness looking for the salvation we need. Formations, substitutions and player management are possibly all to blame in some way but despite a shed load of opportunities to fix the problems we still travel the same bumpy road as previous years. I still accept that we have a topsy turvy chance of making the play-offs but the frustration of following this bunch is a bit like watching paint dry on a rainy day. It seems quite obvious that the pundits, be they journalists or other team followers, have a poor opinion of us as a contender in this division. The time has come to put my thoughts aside and just let the lads do their thing and take whatever comes our way on the chin. Gessa said it as honestly as anyone can without upsetting the plebs by saying we are leaderless, which is something many have been saying for 4 or 5 years without the correct action ever coming in to view. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is the policy of fools.
what the game showed was that LEEDS managed a goal City didn't … Leeds were given far to much space and did what we have done for the past 7 or 8 games allowed the other teams to dominate whilst stopping them from scoring … we seem to have lost that break and cross and steal a goal … WBA next a point will be fine! leeds have 3 easy games now
