As this is a commentary game on talkSport I thought I would listen for their coverage only to be disappointed
They had Fran Benalli on giving an up beat view of the game (going well) but on him disappearing Georgie Bingham (the font of all knowledge) remarked that she admired his optimism and how its now a game she will rush home to watch. Other comments such as "Only a game that fans of the two clubs will be interested in" "a nothing game", "only being televised because of the mid winter break" and "we know this will be the last game on MotD"
Still back to Liverpool thrashing Norwich and Man City being picked on by EUFA

 

I think these kinds of statements are an insult. I agree that the prime interest will be from Saints and Burnley fans but a good proportion of people enjoy watching a good match regardless of who is playing. It does make me wonder how clued up some of these commentators are and maybe not understand the various contributing factors which can make a match compelling. In the past I have gone to watch football matches where I have supported neither team or indeed just to visit a ground or stadium out of curiosity. I wonder how many other people do this? A former boss of mine used to belong to the 92 club and had once been on a holiday in Scotland purely to visit obscure football grounds,

 

I am surprised that anyone listens to Talk Sport. I tuned in once and quickly realised it was utter crap and have never tuned in again. FFS Radio 5 Live can be rubbish at times but they are miles better than Talk ****e as I have heard it called.

 

Football doesn't exist outside of the big 4 remember. Just here to make up the numbers.

 

The latest, on talkSport news...Burnley visit Southampton who are only 7 points above the relegation zone.....so aren't Burnley on the same number of points?

Interesting line up. Vestergaard worries me everytime he plays but I can see the logic considering conditions and the opposition.

I am glad to have Armstrong and Ward-Prowse playing against Burnley but do worry slightly for Boufal!!
