I'm hoping for a really good match up or 2 next season as I've decided I'm definitely going down this year with a few mates. Hopefully see the Pats there but I'm not counting on it...
I think the suspension was about right. Garrett was an idiot, but he's damaged his reputation, had a suspension and lost out on about 1 million dollars. It was quite out of character for him and he's paid a price (and it's not as if it was unprovoked). Time to draw a line under it and move on... Though the Steelers games will be more fiery than usual this year.
You been before? I went a couple years back and saw the Jaguars thrash the Ravens. Had a great weekend and well worth the trip. Might not make it this year but certainly hope to do it again.
Not been to any of the London games as wanted to see the Patriots as my first live game and none really stood out for the ones I could make due to my work rotation. I did decide to just go to Boston and watch the Pats at Gillette against the Colts in 2018 though so I've just been waiting for what I think would be a good game to go to since. My mates really wanna go now though (I got them hooked last season haha) so I will be going to one next season regardless but I'll still try and choose the best match-up and the Broncos - Falcons one looks decent.
Well, there we have it, the end of an era in New England. Quite possibly the best ever era for any sports team in the world. Wouldn't mind being in Bill Belichick's head atm to see what his plans are but I think Jarrett Stidham will be the starter next season...
Bucs and Chargers heavily rumoured to be in for Brady. Rivers apparently had had talks with the Colts while Cam Newton has been given permission to seek a trade. All go on the QB front. Then there's the Texans with the most mind bogglingly poor trade for Hopkins. What on earth were they thinking of?
I actually can't fathom the Hopkins trade. DJ is a good back, but the Cards were set with Drake at RB anyway, they must be absolutely ecstatic getting one of the top 3 receivers in the league for a 2nd rounder and a backup RB.
Is it too soon to call the Bills the favourites for the AFC East next season? Diggs is a good trade for them. As for the Pats, I'm sure they've planned for this eventuality but if they have I don't know what it is. Surely they can't be going into the season relying on Stidham and I can't see that they have the draft capital to go and get someone in the draft. There's also not a QB out there in free agency that I see as good enough. I can only see Brady at the Chargers. He'd be mad to go to the Bucs. Chargers drafting Tua and red shirting him for a year would make perfect sense.
It's absolute madness. Stefan Diggs just went for a 1st and 6th this year plus a 4th next year. Last season Amari Cooper went for a first and OBJ went for basically a first and a third. The minimum for Hopkins should have been a 1st. Instead not only did they only get a second but Johnson is pretty much a negative trade given how desperate Arizona were to let him go and how much cash he's on. DeShaun Watson must be fuming right now. Maybe Angy enough to force his way out... I wonder how much New England would pay for him
Would Watson want to sign a new contract now? Free agent next year. Better money and a better team with more protection shouldn't be too difficult to find. Bridgewater off to the Panthers.
Unfortunately not, The Bills weren't far away last season really and adding Diggs could be the momentum they need to push them over the edge. I was hoping the Pats would pursue him tbh. I've read up on Stidham quite a bit the past few weeks as I think we all pretty much knew TB12 was leaving and apparently BB and Pats coaches really rate him and his college coaches couldn't praise him enough, saying when the lights were on, he lit the place up. I don't know if Pats will go with him but whatever BB decides, he's the greatest coach of all time so I will happily see how it pans out. I'm unsure about the Bucs though, Arians loves his older QB's and they have a decent receiving corps there. Could be interesting but also Chargers have a very good receiving corps too. I guess we will find out soon enough. All I can say is I will HATE seeing him in a different uniform and I hope he retires to the NBC studio with Mr Romo! Lol
That's definitely one of the strangest trades to have taken place in a long time. Wonder if there was more to it....
I do wonder where Cam will end up. I personally think injuries have ruined him and won't be a big market for him. Maybe a 1 year 'prove it' type contract on a lower wage.
There'd be no chance that he'd be leaving the Panthers if it weren't for the injuries. Someone will definitely take a chance on him but even then I can't see him being that cheap. Anyone taking a punt will need a decent amount of cap space to play with.
