Blackburn have reasonable form away from home but with the teams around us having difficult games a win on Saturday could create a bit of breathing space. After the win at Forest I fancy our chances in a tight game so am going for a second successive 2-1 win at home. Blackburn are regular scorers so on the betting front I would go for BTTS yes at 4/5 and Andre Green to score anytime at 7/2 AllHell
Elf’s was up very late last night playing with his phone under the duvet so he’s probably tired and confused
I hope we give this one a go, and don't try to spend the match defending. Blackburn are on a bit of a roll at the momento, but we showed on tuesday that we have some football about us. Three points would be a wonderfull way to end the week. But not playing Taylor as a lone striker.
You don't usually want to change a winning team, but with Green and Williams likely to start Oz and Hemed are likely to be dropped. 4-4-2 or 5-3-2? I don't think he can change the formation from Tuesday. Depends on what he considers the best way to negate Blackburn. I think we do better against teams who go out to play football rather than the black arts, and Blackburn are the former, hopefully, so I go for 3-2, Taylor, Sarr and Cullen.
I am in A Block of the West Stand … never been there before but nice and close to the people from ooop North
Last 5 games when it's been a fiver a ticket have not been kind to the addicks. Charlton's last 5 home 'Fiver a ticket' games Blackpool: Draw 0-0 Att: 17267 16/2/2019 Shrewsbury: Lost 2-0 Att: 17581 24/2/2018 Bury: Lost 1-0 Att: 14,640. 25/2/2017 Rochdale. A reminder of how the club was dying on its feet before Bowyer. The ground barely half full on Fiver days.
Be nice if we could Buck the trend of the 'fiver' days too. It's a bit like all those 'operation' away games that always saw us lose. Maybe if we'd tried a 'Pay doublé - RD needs a new swimming pool in his mansion', we could have beaten Shrewsbury 1-0, in front of a massive 2500 crowd?
We've got players back from injury, new players come in, who to leave out? Looks like we've gone from one extreme to the other, with genuine competition for places. Bonne Hemed for the other striker's spot, if Green is still out with a knee problem. Oz, Williams and McGeady for the attacking mid. Pratley or Davis for def/mid. The only poor performance on Tuesday was Smith when he came on, and Aneke is scoring for fun in the U-23's, which is admittedly a lower level. So it's a nice problem for Bowyer to have. The weather is going to be ghastly, Storm Denis this time, maybe this will affect his approach.
