This must be what Bolton felt like last season, just a squad of players thrown together to paper over the cracks. Not a good week for Ehab to do an open book Q and A.
Wilkes attitude stinks..on more than one occasion he gave up on a 50/50 chance and then wandered off in a sulk when he didn't win the ball
He left because he probably had an idea of the budget for this season so decided he had know chance, either that or wasn't happy with his contract
What with this result tonight and Philip Schofield coming out, this weeks been an absolute nightmare.
Apparently adkins and hughton had a game of rock paper sicssors on Saturday. It was best of three and the loser got the city job. They drew 1-1 and both refused to play the third game
The BBC stats are shocking. 29% possession, zero shots on target. We need a change of formation quickly, there is no counter attacking force now Bowen and Turbo have gone. For ****s sake Terry anyone can see that, why can’t you. Our points return since the new year is in sacking territory now. It’s pathetic how far we have gone backwards in a couple of years.
Never been one to slaughter City even in times of real depression but whilst Injuries are undoubtedly killing us at the moment we look nervous, shot shy and truly awful these days . Stark reality is City have gone from a side capable of giving anyone a game to one that seems like a nervous bunch of uninspiring misfits playing at least one division to high. McCann’s hands might have been tied in the stupid transfer window to some extent but right now his ability to get this side playing good counter attacking football again will be questioned now and whilst I don’t like knee jerk reactions the Allam’s will soon start questioning his ability to manage on a budget unless results improve.
Agree, on 70 plus minutes we had a point and they were getting frustrated. Hindsight and that but hold onto to what you've got at that stage especially with a patched up team. It would have been a good point too and a bit of a morale booster. Lucky to get away with 3-0 in the end. Piss poor tactics at a critical time in the game and to concede three goals in seven minutes proves it.
We’ll struggle through it once we get taff Burke and de wijs back And we should keep those three in the back five!! Play two up too and hit long diagonals and a midfield that’s willing to scrap and we’ll grind it out Terry will be gone after Friday if he plays the same system as we’ll get tonked
Injuries killing us but even with everyone fit we do not have the players to keep playing this formation. Doesn't suit any of our strikers, exposes our full backs, and honestly I don't see maddison, wilks, Toral, samuelson or klp as wingers, basically bowler is our only genuine winger so it's pointless playing them there. It worked with Bowen and Grosicki because they are exceptional players, but mccann has to change something, what to, no ****ing idea, 12 injuries is absurd.
