You'd hope that they weren't so precious that they think "**** this we're a different company" wouldn't you but you never know! I remember Peter Reid always had a problem with fanzines - I chatted to someone at ALS once and he seemingly hated them!! Wonder if the relationship is any better with the current manager!!
It's just 'business as usual' for people like this isn't it ... ... there could be a brand new company registered by teatime. Newspapers, and trolls, will always jump on these 'bombshells' but the reality is usually much more mundane. Fuhrman may be ending his interest but something just popped into my mind that I've missed despite it being blindingly obvious ... ... in the conversation regarding Fuhrman, I've mentioned around a million times, Ben Brown told me, "A friend of mine has just bought your club'. That might just be me donning rose tinted glasses but, then again ....
'FulwellBri', like a dead parrot, is 'no more' After discussion, following a few complaints, it was decided that the disruption caused by his presence was spoiling the board, and he simply wouldn't listen to suggestions/advice about his contributions. He may have had some meaningful contributions, to some, but in the main he drew attention to himself, rather than thread topics, and the ensuing aggravation just wasn't worth it. Anyway, he's gone . . . . as you were
This. People can choose to look at it negatively (he's moved on, they might not invest as a trio now) or equally you could look at it as he's retiring from MSD so will have more time to get involved with personal deals (like SAFC would be). Positive hat on they could buy the club and one of them will be a lot more free to attend board meetings and the likes and might help give them the level of oversight needed which currently none can give. Not saying its happening, but that positive view is just as likely as the negative one. I reckon I could guess which one a few will choose to go along with though
I liked the cut of Bri's jib, but he was also an arsehole, so good on you really. He didn't even manage to agree with the people he agreed with, somehow.
I don't know what's going on but if they were doing it separately to MSD, it's a personal investment rather than MSD's, so their private and professional investments were already separated. Maybe it is the reason FPP was dissolved (my gut instinct is that they were filing their year end stuff in the UK and they wanted shot of it for now) but I'm just hanging fire. Again, FPP aren't taking over if it's happening in the immediate future. They aren't waiting for the price to drop. They have their deal. The only question is now whether Donald sells to someone else.
I hope the decision was made on his attitude and approach rather than on the fact that he had a different opinion to other people though.
It was - absolutely. If it was based on his opinion, I'd have banned him about 3 minutes after he joined!!
I've never put anyone on ignore even with all the mag wums we've had on here over the years, but FulwellBri was the closest even though he's a Sunderland fan. See you chum...........p.
Fair enough. He was very difficult but its interesting to hear a different opinion, even if you don't agree with it.
You don't need him to post, to know what his opinion will be on any subject ... ... it's the opposite to the majority or, failing that, the most controversial possible.
Pancho always claims he's far too busy, in his exciting personal life, to do that .... ... while, at the same time, spending days pontificating about some minor point of grammar on the forum
What is this dark arts you talk about, mods explaining themselves!? A refreshing change, compared to other sites.
