Oh dont get me wrong I agree, just putting myself in his position. Footballers are mercenaries aren't they!
As regard keepers kiko is shot to bits personally I'd of hooked at half time against forest and I genuinely can't understand why Bielsa didn't. Think back he has pulled outfield players after 30mins on occasions. Our biggest miss currently and lots won't like it is Forshaw, not flashy but effective, shame he's made of biscuits but that's just one of those things.
Do you think the others are playing for free. Don’t remember any of the current squad turning down their new improved contracts
I'm only talking about Green. I don't get it with oh if this or that ex player were still here we'd be promoted. The reality is that we don't know.
Make you right Mighty, Bielsa’s playing some clown in goal when his proper place is with Billy Smart’s Circus
All this talk about Green is all well & good, but were forgetting we have a perfectly good keeper in Messlier, surely he will start tomorrow night ? BETTER BLOODY DO!!!!!!
Marcelo Bielsa said that Jean-Kevin Augustin’s “difficulties have increased” in another tense press conference at Thorp Arch on Monday. The Leeds manager seems to be getting annoyed at the constant questions over Augustin but went into another lengthy explanation of what was happening with the player. Talking in the press conference (live in the LUFC app, Monday, 12.00pm), Bielsa said that Augustin hadn’t improved his general level of fitness. He then went on to say his “difficulties have increased” and when quizzed again about this he added that while the player has skills, his fitness is an issue and that any process like this will have its ups and downs.
On Phillips: Bielsa has confirmed he will be starting, he said we coped without him without fear but we always count on him to make our team more rigid. On Tyler Roberts: He is not going to be able to play tomorrow. He took a strong kick in the calf On Augustin: It was not a quick progress, because he keeps all the difficulties he had. Even more, he’s increasing those difficulties. But after, he’s completed options and made the best choice. When you have to take 18 players for one match or 11 players who start the match, our link with the individual level of each player but also this decision is linked with the comparison between two players that play in the same position. So, this that you’re pointing that looks like he is not current, I agree and understand about that. I’ve explained with this argument. Maybe one player is not at his ideal level, but maybe in one moment it’s the best option. Because of the possibilities of two players in one moment, afterwards you make the choice.
OK, how do you account for our failing, and conceding plenty from free kicks and corners..................I'm sure you'd have a convenient fact somewhere to combat my inconvenient question........which you obviously don't get.
Bielsa also believes Bamford is our best striker and Harrison is our best LW, but neither provide the results required.............doesn't say much for what Bielsa says about Phillips, does it.
It sounds like it bothers a few that Bamford will be starting but not me, I said earlier I wouldn't start with Augustin either, he isn't fit enough. Much better to have him coming on in the second half when the others have expended some energy. Reading between the lines yes this is what Bielsa is saying and it is also hinting that we won't see Poveda on the bench, again understandable. It also sounds like Augustin hasn't improved on his fitness level as much as Bielsa would like, I wonder if he isn't trying hard enough When you read what Bielsa said about Augustin he is saying he isn't 100% fit but when you can only have a set amount of substitutes he'll need to be on the bench as we only have Bamford. Compare that to Poveda who isn't 100% match fit we have better alternatives. Our U23s won 4-1 today, Poveda played well by all accounts but he was outshone by the likes of Stevens.
And Augustin up front with Bamford at no10,Poveda on the bench ready to make an impact. that would put the wind up the Brentford manager,& give him something to actually have to think about.Ain't going to happen of course, will be the same bloody eleven as usual
