I was a scout and a cadet mate, nowt wrong with it. Learnt me to handle a weapon (and I dont mean me peado scout leaders)
I went to Scouts a couple of times. Was lame as **** to be honest. Why the **** do I want to go into the woods with a bunch of lads and learn how to tie knots and ****. My brother continued, and got the uniform etc, I was like "nah I'm alright"
Mine was ace, did gliding, mountain biking, sailing, canoeing and loads of other ****. The only knot I still use to this day is the reef knot. It's very easy and handy as it will absolutely never come undone under load, but is easy to undo. Oh potholeing, rock climbing and absailing, all at like 13-14, you missed out bruv, id recommend it to anyones kids.
Yeah Im sure if i'd have stuck with it, we may have had some cool outings I suppose, but I was like 13, and the scout meetings were being held at my school, so it was like going back to school in the evenings, and I was like "**** that". They wanted us to walk to Willen Lake at one point, from where they were in Bletchley to Willen Lake was like 6 miles! I remember being like, "yeah no thanks", I was a lazy little sod, but that was the point when I had just discovered hash, so thats probably why
Maybe if you was more adventurous as a kid, you wouldn't be doing all this bodybuilding and tanning **** in your mid life crisis.
He did set up the Hitler youth, and he had an enigma machine. Dude, when the Russians invade, and you're bunkered down in the gym, I'll be up ther with @Commachio and sucky. 5.56mm full metal jacket, I was cadet white horse shooting team lol. You get on the shooting team @Suckmyklopp or did you just like to wear to uniform to feel manly?
You gonna run at them with your kilt up shouting "You'll never take our freedom" I'd go with bullets any day mate.
****ing hell ! it seems we've got a full squadron of potato gun firing plebs jumping about on these boards
Nah cant lie i was **** at shooting tbh, done loads of other stuff, flew in a chinnook in Germany, drove a tank there too. Off road driving in a land rover to name a few.. All great experiences tbh and kept me out if trouble for a few years.
