Just a few aggressive postures and abusive gestures and bottles being thrown at the team then... Bloody football fans starting to go to Rugby Union now too
It's not all Scots. A loud minority have been influenced by the SNP and increasing xenophobia towards the English, together with society's drop in control and reduction of family shame. When I played, for Yorkshire and then for university, we'd often play in Scotland, Ireland and Wales and whilst the game was going on, they were fought like grudge matches, but then when the final whistle blew, it was the hand out to pull up players on the floor, the handshake tunnel and then gammon and chips afterwards with the opposition, followed by an evenings drinking, with the usual jokes, but always friendly. Obviously professionalism has changed this somewhat, but it's a shame that a minority of fans can't see or keep the ethos that made RU special.
