    It is business as usual across every level at Newcastle United. Steve Bruce, his scouting team and the club’s hierarchy are all working towards the next few months as if the current status quo remains – with the United head coach understood to be happy with the sort of numbers mentioned when it comes to a possible close season transfer budget.

    Interesting comment. "Towards the next few months" was particularly telling. Are we thinking that the offer is simply subject to PL survival? Would make a lot more sense. Wasn't Staveley's original bids something like "unconditional £200m, £250m with repayment of £100m if the team is relegated" and so on?

    For £340m, you're going to want a bit more stability.

    This takeover seems laughable, we've now got Barry Hearne and some socialite friend of slutty scuzzer Kim Kardashian acting as advisers. I mean seriously who the **** believes some boxing promoter and a socialite from America have the first idea about buying a British football club?

    According to the Shields Gazette, who've got an interview with a Middle East commentator, it's very unlikely to happen. Apparently Staveley hasn't got a great deal of respect down there as some kind of fixer.

    It'll keep moving though. And re-surface at the next transfer windows.
