That's why when you go to a pub that has peanuts or snacks on the bar you don't touch em...!!! When I was a young un I worked in one of our local pubs and it always made me think that when I bloke sat back down to drink his pint while munching on the free bar snacks they used to put on...

Quite so red No doubt you have also noticed that some servers/people manage to spread their fingers all round the rim of the glass when passing you your drink. That infuriates me no end when you have to watch like a hawk to make sure you drink from the untouched part. A glass of wine with finger prints round the rim is a real turn off

Why do some people drive onto roundabouts when the route they are taking is at a stand thus blocking the roundabout for for other drivers. This is becoming more and more prevalent with the amount of roadworks being carried out in my neck of the woods and the temporary lights being barely 50yards from the off route they are taking. They just sit there looking straight ahead or admiring themselves in the mirror knowing full well they are blocking traffic. The worst offenders are the bimbos with their lips pumped out like a duck, i honestly could take a pair of scissors to their lips.

Agree entirely but those whom you give right of way to in such a situation and don’t acknowledge in any way are even bigger cnuts.

The other really annoying thing about roundabouts is when you are going round and the person in front stops to let someone on from the left. Don't they know that you are not supposed to do that on a roundabout :steam:

Perhaps this has never occurred to anyone but me before: Washing your hands is an exercise in futility.

You go to the toilet. You flush the toilet with potentially germ-infested hands, just like everyone else before you, leaving some new germs and picking up some others. You turn on the tap to wash your hands, thereby transferring some of the germs to the tap. You wash your hands. You turn off the tap, thereby transferring some of the germs back to your hands from the tap.

I still do it but what I also do is get the paper towel from the dispenser before I wash my hands because wet hands just tear a hand-sized piece of soggy paper towel leaving you to fight with the dispenser to get the rest. So I dry my hands with paper towel that I have transferred germs to as well.

Of course we could all just stop wiping our arses with our hands – but surely you have to dry your arse after using a bidet...

I believe that Coronavirus is a respiratory virus, so hygiene will not aid or prevent infection.

Just got an Android Tablet for a pending trip to the other side of The Pond and, of course, it comes pre-installed with loads of Google apps. Soon as you try to use any of them it wants you to sign up for an account on the Cloud to store all your stuff so that you can access it from other devices. I tried to install Adobe’s PDF Reader and it wanted me to open a Cloud account too.

It is bad enough that every time I try to access my Gmail account it sends me an email telling me that someone tried to access my Gmail from a new device. It is a frigging pain-in-the-neck at work when hot-desking. At work they use One Drive because it is cheaper than running a load of shared servers on the network for people moving between offices.

My natural cynic thinks once they have everyone storing all their data in some huge data warehouse in the middle of the Arizona desert, they will then start charging for access to it.

People should just regularly wash their hands as good practice

You know when you are getting old when you have heard of both the Superbowl half-time acts but do not know half the songs.

Sorry Pepsi but I had Tesco Xero cola on my Bacardi all game... <laugh>

I only recognised two of Shakira’s songs but I cannot claim to follow her (that would be stalking).
I figure that Shakira cannot play electric guitar so why did she have one as a prop?
Who was the guy in the bacofoil dancing with her?
After J-Lo did her (short) stint, was Shakira pole dancing really considered family entertainment? She can come round mine – I know where to put the $20 bills.
I guess if I was thirty years younger I would know who that rapper was in her second set.
J-Lo and Shakira shaking their booty was certainly OK for those of us dirty old men watching. I had to pour another pint of Bacardi and Xero cola...
If J-Lo has a body like that at 50, can you let me know what she is doing as I know a couple of women that need to know.

5 years ago I moaned, on here, about the misuse of the word epicentre. I’m sad to report this misuse has now reached pandemic proportions.

Mainly the BBC, but every news channel does it. The Coronavirus in Wuhan has sent it off the scale.
Good old Look North were on the money when a few weeks ago when they said ‘over to our correspondent at the epicentre in Hartlepool ‘. At least they talk proper up there.

    More to moan about VAR...

Rochdale, Sheffield Wednesday, Oxford, Tranmere, Shrewsbury, Peterborough, Huddersfield, Luton, Port Vale, Wigan, Forest, Boro, Fylde, Derby, Leeds all had FA Cup matches this season away to PL clubs. They didn’t realise that they had to pay 50% of the VAR bill of £9251

    "Missing surfer found alive
Some good news - the missing surfer who lost his board off the East Sussex coast has been found alive near Rye Bay. He was conscious when found."

What ijeet goes out surfing when the country has been hit by Storm Ciara which has caused structural damage, transport disruption and put paid to racing in GB and Ireland :headbang:

It sounds mad, but big storms = big waves. I'm permanently amazed that anyone would try and surf off the Atlantic coast of Portugal but they do <yikes>. Just a mad bunch ................... but I would make him pay the bill for the search and rescue teams - surfers ought to have insurance to cover that sort of thing.

We had one of those here a couple of years ago.
When asked if he realised what he was doing, the jumped up twat turned round and said, " I was ok. After all it's your job to come and resuce us."
Our senior helm had to turn away or he would have belted him.

What an absolute ****wit Resurgam. A snack in the gob was the minimum the prick deserved. I don't know if there is any basis in fact in this but wouldn't stormy seas off the UK coast be more dangerous than those big Atlantic rollers in Nazare? I wouldn't be testing my surfing skills in either to be honest <laugh>.
