At three o'clock tomorrow afternoon I shall stick my fingers in my ears, close my eyes and start intoning 'La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la.'

And continue that until five o'clock.

    I'm not hopeful.

    Four - Nought.

And we'll be lucky to get nought.

There are five types of potato named after Reading

It is the home of the first female professor in Great Britain.Edith Morley was appointed as Professor of English Language at the University of Reading in 1908.

Reading was home to the first ever Little Chef restaurant opened in 1958 in Oxford Road.

Reading is the largest town without city status in the UK.

The oldest known song in English was found in Reading Abbey. Summer is Icumen In was written around 1260. It contains the oldest record of the word fart.

Philippa Langley, the woman who found the body of Richard III under a car park in Leicester, believes the grave of Henry I is also under a car park in Reading.

Reading has the shortest high street in the country

Reading are the only team to finish second in what is now the Championship and not get promoted,

We've won 2, drawn 2 and lost 1 of the 5 games at theirs since 2010.

Sometimes I just get a feeling that it’s going to be a lot better than I normally expect.

    I’m an optimistic old fool

I'm sorry to say I can't see us winning this one, to come away with a draw would be a real plus. I've predicted 3-0 to them in our prediction game, and nothing has changed my mind since doing that. I hope I am wrong, but I think we will struggle this month, and do feel that once we get some injuries back, particularly Stewart & Toral, and the new signings bed in then we will get enough points to avoid the drop.

Terry needs to start playing Batty, when he has featured he brings a bit more passing ability. Having said that, I think he will go with Lopes Kane & Irvine.

We'd not lost at home in something like 8 matches vs Brentford......I will be watching through my fingers today

“Not pissed” would be the difference. I’m sure he’ll be pissed again for next week.

Sadly it's another sign of global warming, like the slow demise of the polar permafrosts, Den's slow melting of his perma-pissed is another sign of climate change (he's very sensitive to these things) Greta and Mr Attenborough are holding a (none) candle lit vigal :(

Okay .. gonna fight against the ground swell here and agree with Dennis ... sounds like Elder may be back .. hopefully Jordy .. add a little stability to a porous back line. I dont think we'll win it but dependent again on Mr McCanns deliberations I do feel kind of optimistic that this will be a typical City performance on the back of a month of shyte .. draw 2-2 .. play Magennis up front and we're doomed I tell ya doomed ! Get Eaves o from the off .. he is the only bugger that holds the ball up and gives the other forwards a chance to get up with him. Come on lads and lasses .. as Delia famously said ... let's be avin ya
