Lets not forget there is a middle ground between useless and being worth £35m... which he is not.

I doubt anyone would offer that but I would accept without hesitation if they did... although I'd prefer to sell him abroad as he is a good player.

I said to my mate before the Spurs home game that the winner of this game would be in the final.

As I’ve said, Godders, I’m a big fan, but the whole point was I wasn’t watching the ball, but watching him track back after mistakes and counter attacks. That’s what he wasn’t doing. Ings on the other hand was charging back to help, and it is more the DM responsibility to do that.

It just feels like it’s getting habitual at the moment - perhaps Susan is right and his energy levels aren’t at the right point, but either way it’s something Ralph needs to get on top of.

Hoj gets stick, because we know he's better than what we are getting.

Providing they avoid Liverpool, Manchester City or United. I have a horrible feeling that United will reach this year´s FA Cup final, though. How often do we see a team that has produced rubbish performances in the League get to the FA Cup final. And the media will be fawning all over them and nominating them as the most famous club in the world. Fact is, Real Madrid are just as famed and equally loathed.

As a highly tuned athlete (cough) I know just 1/2% percent down from the top line knocks the energy levels. I'm sure MrH will address and correct whatever is causing the perceived problem.

Agreed that one way or another something is lacking. Would be entirely believable that it was tied to fatigue as he and JWP have been run down to the bone, literally I suppose in JWP's case. But it is something that should be addressed - not however by planning his imminent departure (not that you've been doing that, LTL).

Our current system is ludicrously taxing on our CMs which is part of the reason that Hojbjerg having a handful of moments a game where he is not at full throttle sticks out like a sore thumb and magnifies the issue. But an issue it is all the same and it needs to be tackled for us to continue on our upwards trajectory.

Yeah it's funny how you get these premonitions. I was saying before the game on Wednesday "I think the winner will get Norwich".

Yep. Hence why Liverpool might not have the most exciting midfielders in the world, but they've all got a heck of an engine on them.

On a serious note, what’s a keeper supposed to do when he’s one on one with a player like that? Is he not allowed to go for the ball anymore, or even spread himself wide, for fear of the slightest contact leading to a penalty? Ridiculous.

I wish I could say I’m over it, but this one really stings. Living in North London probably doesn’t help - especially as I have had several messages from Spurs fans saying we didn’t deserve to lose (that doesn’t help either, chaps. **** off please).

Yep, from too much protection, to no protection. And var seemingly too scared to get involved.

    Embarrassing.

But I’m pretty sure I heard several thousand Spurs fans shouting “Yids!”

    I remember that.
Would the VAR ref have done anything, if it had been available? This just seems to show that referees have always refused to give penalties for clear and obvious fouls, if an attacker has got his shot away, when the reality is that the contact is often as a result of a late tackle.
Or, in this case, a vicious assault.

No I just get pissed of with our fans who have to have a player to victimise. It is a form of bullying and unacceptable.
