Erm, my previous post was my first on this particular subject so i don't "keep quoting you" - apart from now . I only pointed out that you were equally as culpable as @The Norton Cat in derailing the thread, and politely asking for it to be dropped. no offence intended. anyway, cba to get dragged into this, so no more from me about this. enjoy your day.
Good lad, I’m off for a bit of practice down the driving range, got a comp on the morning and then the match in the afternoon. Enjoy the rest of your day mate.
My apologies. I was merely trying to point out the long-standing traditions of accepting posters of all sorts on this board. If it would make everyone happier, I will ask the mods to delete the posts relating to this. Is that possible @marcusblackcat ?
It's put to bed now yeah? Nice one. Enjoy the driving range (and good luck in your competition tomorrow @Zig81 I can delete the posts but not got time at present. Will have a look at lunch time
wow @ned_werby for mod, he defused that in an instant with a carefully worded post. As a matter of fact, sod the Mod status, make him Miss World
Was in the Derby last Friday, for the first time in yonks - christ it's a ****hole now tbh. Harbour View/Grannie's/Cliff/Wolsey (when it re-opens) when local these days.
This seems reasonable from SD, if true. It should cost much less than £5m to get us up. But it begs the question, why didn't he spend £1m on players that would make it much easier to go up and make £4m on it?
It also says that the americans are still the most likely buyers and dated after the FPP strike off news. https://offthepitch.com/a/sunderland-owners-offering-ps5-million-cut-if-promotion-missed
Not being stuck with that twat for a while yet, if we get to the play offs we will be royally ****ed with summer recruitment. Hopefully a deal can be arranged with the fee dependant on the league, if not next season is going to be a write off.
"A source close to the club said that a base level price of £35 million is being offered in order to try and agree terms with a buyer by the end of February. Earlier this week a value of at least £40m was reported as being sought by the club’s owners insurance entrepreneur Stewart Donald and his partners, but Offthepitch.com can reveal this figure is based on promotion to the second tier this season."
"It could also be a tactic to get SD to panic." That's exactly what was suggested by the corporate chap I spoke to. He reckons it really puts the pressure on Donald by firstly saying 'give us our money back' and not having FPP to use as a lever against other potential buyers. He's done that all the way through as has he lumped in future caveats based on us being promoted now and again to the PL. I pm'd the details, to someone on here a while back, so it's 'recorded'.
The article reads like Methven doesn't it? I wonder if they're stuck in their pricing negotiations with this mystery third party and are trying to squeeze them into accepting a deal. Put it this way, if the Yanks were the most likely buyers and they were stuck on price, the least effective way to change that situation would be telling people that they were the most likely buyers That one seems aimed at someone else with the '1 person viewed this club in the last hour' message you'd get on booking.com.
