so what... the owner is once again standing in the way of us and our city getting something its long over due. you think the tories will invest in our proud city ? sickening
The Tories would want this takeover to happen as a private firm investing in the country is exactly what they advocate for. Not even taking the piss, currently Labour would likely advocate for public ownership and it would be run on even more of a shoestring.
If Rafa was on a run like this, his trusted army of worshippers would be suggesting its an incredible achievement. They talk about him being god like. Perhaps if by that they mean that similar to the bloke who wrote that book over 2000 years ago, he has managed to dupe a lot of folk, then yeah he's a 'god' alright. Bruce has well and truly put that nonsense to bed.
The only people who keep mentioning and re-raising Rafa's name are those who didn't like him. Comical.
Nah! It's a belter for Bruce to cling to though. 4 games against league one opposition, 1 a freak comeback in 120 seconds and another a goalless draw against bottom of the league. The only good results are the win at Chelski and the draw with Wolves. We'll survive easily but the football shouldn't be this poor, especially under such an expansive and attack-minded manager.....
Yes I suppose if one man should be grateful for the exaggerated performance of Rafa by our fans, its Mr Bruce. He looks all set to outperform him this season despite having someone else's team and having to play a certain way as a result. It really has left the Rafa worshippers in a pickle. They should not fear though, we ended the season well under Rafa. We ended the season with 45 points in 13th. So Brucey still has to amass another 15 points from the remaining 13 games in order to outperform him in points total. And this season it could be that 46 points is only enough for 14th. Points totals aren't as relevant as finishing position obviously. There can be no qualms from anyone though if he amasses 46 points plus and or finishes 12th or higher. Bruce will have done him.
While I agree that if Bruce gets 46 points and/or finishes 12th he will have done well (although he'd have to do both to be *better*), I can't help but remember a certain troll who used to bang on about how you had to adjust managers' performance for their actual (not net) spend. And as Bruce has had £65 million spent on the squad since Rafa left, I'm sure that troll would argue that Bruce had it £65M easier than Rafa. If he were to apply the same logic to Bruce as he did to Rafa, that is. I won't hold my breath though.
Can't remember - was some silly made up name. Tepid pocket? Balmy sack? Temperate receptacle? Something like that anyway.
Jesus wept I expected better from you. But as you've chosen say something so silly, I'll take you back to the basics of math. Rafa spent 54m last season. Bruce spent 65m this season. So unless we are saying Rafa's spend doesn't actually count because you like licking his nutsack, then not in any realm known to mankind did he have it 65m easier than Rafa. You could say if you were desperately trying to rescue the Rafa Myth that Bruce had it 11m easier. Or a Muto. But of course you would have to conveniently ignore that Rafa's actual total spend to amass his own squad was 152m over three seasons. Not to mention all that time he had to drill them etc. Sorry 12th or higher and he has clearly outstripped Rafa unless you're a complete fruitcake. Sometimes its best to keep your head below the parapet or kaboom I think the best bit is the Rafa ball lickers liking your post like a set of lemmings. So if the reason behind was simply out these morons once again, then I take it back of doff my cap to you.
