Donald may have been verbally abused leaving the ground - but I can guarantee if the portsmouth fans stepped in it wouldn't have diffused quickly. I've noticed it's a certain type of person who trots that phrase out. I don't consider us a laughing stock. Southampton, Portsmouth, Sheff Utd, Man City, Villa, etc etc etc have all been in our position. Boro were locked out of their ground, Portsmouth and Southampton ripped off dozens of small local suppliers, Leeds tried to take over the world and fell flat on their arse. We were badly run and relegated twice after a decade in the PL and Wembley ... ... let's not exaggerate.
