West Bromwich Albion v NEWCASTLE UNITED
The Baggies are currently in the Championship, but are hoping to join their visitors in the Premier League next season.
They have won the cup five times and been runners up another five. However you have to go back to 1968 for their most recent triumph.
Last season they went out in Round Four. After a 0-0 draw away to Brighton, they fell 1-3 in the replay at the Hawthorns.
Cup stat: West Brom's record home attendance came in an FA Cup tie on 6th March 1937, when 64,815 fans watched them beat Arsenal 3-1 in the sixth Round.

    READING v Sheffield Utd
The Blades are a division above the hosts and are having a season of dreams, knocking on the door of the Europa League spot.
They have won the cup four times, but it is nearly a hundred years since they last did so, in 1925.
Last season they went out at the first hurdle, when they suffered a shock 0-1 defeat a home to non-league Barnet.
Cup stat: Their record defeat came in an FA Cup tie, on 1st February 1890, when they lost, at home, 0-13 to Bolton in Round Two. This was, however their very first competitive season, having officially been formed on 22nd March 1889. Also, as a bonus bit of trivia, The club was formed by members of the Sheffield United Cricket Club, formed in 1854 and the first English sports club to use 'United' in its name.

    POMPEY v Arsenal
The Gunners visit Fratton Park knowing that, short of winning the Europa League, this competition is their best bet for bringing European football the the Emirates next season.
They hold the record for the most FA Cup wins; 13 in total, six of which have been in the 21st century, most recently in 2017.
Last season they lost out in Round Four, going down 1-3 to Manchester Utd.
Cup Stat.on 7th March 2004, Pompey's fans Applauded the Arsenal players off the pitch after they dismantled us 1-5 at Fratton Park

Well the final two roads converge at the semi final stage, which means we will have a single baton holder going into the final.

Our featured game is ARSENAL (apologies for the colour gunner fans, that's the colour of the baton!) v MANCHESTER CITY (again, apologies........)

The citizens have won 3-0 in both Premier League meetings this season; at the Emirates on 15th December and at The Etihad on 17th June.

The two side last met in the FA Cup three seasons ago - also in the semi finals. Arsenal won that game 2-1 after extra time.

If they repeat this feat, and Chelsea beat Man Utd in the other semi, then the final will be a re-run of the 2017 final, in which Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1

Probably the 4 most boring teams for the semis possible. Not sure who I want to win... If Arsenal still had Wenger, I'd say them. All I know is that I don't want Man £ity... And probably don't want Chelski either.

What is wrong with Manchester City PL? Haven´t the other three been equally well funded? Besides which ,at least City are supported by fans from their area, unlike Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United who have hordes of fans in South Hampshire, never mind other places all over the country. So come on City, and batter United in the final.

Many things are wrong with them. They're funded by a horrid human-rights abusing regime, they're arrogant and take the piss of FFP (which while flawed is the only thing we have atm) with dodgy sponsorship deals and then when they caught, they throw a hissy fit. The only reason they're anywhere near the top of the league is because of the huge amounts of oil money being ploughed into them. Before that they were relegation fodder. At least Arsenal, Man U and Chelski were relatively successful clubs historically.

So it's ARSENAL who carry the baton into the Final, after beating Man City 2-0
The colour of the baton is significant, as it is the Jim Bowen baton; The Gunners having knocked out Pompey.

They will be up against Man Utd or Chelsea, who meet today at 18:00

Gotta support arsenal, then we can say we lost to the FA Cup winners.

Also, man £ity getting knocked out is glorious. Get knocked out of the champions league and it'll a season with just a league trophy for the cheats. Still one trophy too many though.
