Lardi.... No the BBC were invited in …. it was The Independent that was excluded they attacked Boris so much about BREXIT and in the election campaign that he wants nothing to do with them
But it is alright to have a Tory biased press? Is that fair and reasonable? The Sun, Telegraph, Daily Mail, Daily Express, Times, are all Tory rags. I have no problem with the license fee. But over seventies should remain exempt from paying it. Do we want papers being controlled by the Government like we have in Russia, North Korea, China etc. I want a free press that puts a balanced viewpoint over.
Nobody forces anyone to buy a newspaper. Pensioners don't get threatened with prison if they don't buy one. Personally I used to buy the Sun and the Mirror to get a bit of balance, but the Mirror's Corbynism and anti-Brexit stance made me give up on it several months ago.
The BBC were not banned from the briefings. I was informed yesterday on Twitter that the BBC news service is run by former Young Conservatives. Rubbish of course but I didn't bother arguing, what's the point. The BBC is either a left or right wing propaganda machine depending on your point of view. I have certain criticisms of the Beeb, but I believe their journalists try very very hard to be neutral. Oddly the Grauniad wasn't banned but the I was, along with the Mirror.
Unusually inciteful for the Independent https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/brex...y-to-stop-fighting/ar-BBZDmjk?ocid=spartanntp
Freudian mis-spelling of insightful? The B****t arguments won't end. The whole argument became too tribal, unfortunately, like our whole political system.
The political system only became too tribal (toxic) because one entire half of the political spectrum was trying to discredit and then overturn the clear result of a democratic referendum. Politics always gets under some peoples' skin. But subverting democracy really gets a lot of peoples' goat - fortunately.
