On the plus side we shouldn't lose many of our other players in the summer, nobody will want um.

Watching the England v France Six Nations. England, shorn of two star players, lack confidence and concentration against an aggressive skilful opponent. Masses of mistakes, heads dropping, getting beat by a distance.

    Quite a weekend!

I presume someone posted this already, but couldn’t see it

Comedy moment, but what was Taf actually trying to do?

Thats what I thought Den. Most will understandably focus on the the keepers **** up, but what on earth was Taff trying?

What price was City to lose, Taff to score anytime...

    Just caught in two minds
We tend to launch it from left centre back to the right wing a lot. He looked for that and wilks has come in field so he half changed his mind

    Do you think?
This footage is better, but he doesn’t seem to be shaping up for a ball to right wing. If anything maybe thinking KLP was going to be pushing down the left, then pulled it to pass straight...but forgot to change his 3 iron for a wedge!

There are a few basic things we can address to improve where skill doesn’t come in to it...
We appeal for throw ins and then are clueless in taking them.
We can not beat the first man at corners.
We put ourselves under pressure when “building from the back”..lump it up field then scrap for it...at least we get it out our half.
We allow the opposition to encroach at free kicks so play it backwards ....see above.
When we concede a corner ..all players go back to defend...leave a speedster on the half way line. = KLP

I am absolutely confident it will get better, we'll get some of the better injured players back and secondly it couldn't get any worse!

Woeful though it was, we really shouldn't go down from where we are, so it give Terry a chance to look at some of the players he has brought in for the rest of the season. Some of these he signed in the transfer window could be cracking players, if just one comes off, it'll more than pay for the others. He can look at whether KLP is the real deal yet ( I think he needs some nurturing and hours in the gym for a couple of years), he can see if he can make a defender out of Taf ( I think he's terrible, but I wasn't Harry's greatest fan either), can Lopez kick on? Etc
Let's face it, realistic expectation based on our history is mid table championship, unless we get a sugar daddy. The most realistic way of achieving that with a sustainable model is probably bringing young players in and reliant on selling on the odd one or two. That's worked for Brentford.
The deadly duo were going to leave at some point, and if it felt like the end of an era for us, it was going to for the team. I don't think we'd had time to prepare for life after those two ( which is piss poor), players were looking at each other as to who was to take corners, etc. Kingsley took the first, I think based on who was nearest.

Did not see the game and was schocked to see the score. Obviously we played very badly. Given that Bowen and Gosicki departedl and that we brought in a number of new players one could expect that the side was a little disjointed. GM obviously thinks highly of Wilks since he threw him straight in for the 2 previous gamesl. Lets hope he is right in his thinking. Ditto Madison lets hope he turns out to be the playmaker in midfield that we need. A Toral but one that is not constantly injured. The two other signings, the Norwigan and Scot both look to be flair players that should excite the fan base and worry the opposition. With both of them like others I hope that whoever scouted them both will have earned their salary. Since lets face it those clamoring for big name signings need to put things in perspective we are never going to spend 20M or so on a big name with a signing that would blow our socks off. Whether fans like it or not Ehab has the right model, spend money on the Academy and develop players there like Bowen etc. coupled with buying young players that have potential to develop into Premier League players and then either cash in on them or take them with us to the Promised Land. Of course there will be some flops but we must hope that we keep on the right side of the balance sheet! I feel optimistic that those goals can be achieved. And also optimistic that we will avoid relegation and push on next season . You never know Ehab may be so successful that the debt will be paid down and the club can be sold for Papas "one pound".

As a postscript those who are complaining about League One signings have perhaps forgotten that just a few years ago we got three of the 60's greats from the equivlent of League One-Waggy, Houghton and Butler!

Yes your elegant reply just illustrates the need for conciseness when using the English language. You said in 9 words what I tried to say in many more. I feel humbled!
