    Ok
We have different opinions on Burnsy
What were you meaning by “ he ... can't wait for city to fail, lets try and get positive and get behind the lads and the manager” though?
I thought you were saying he should, but if you’re talking about fans then I agree in the stadium negativity is no help at all.

There are not many potential owners out there who want to spaff millions on some ego project.

There is no guarantee that any new owners would be

    a) 'better' as in understanding what the fanbase want / don't want

    b) Well intentioned. There are plenty of dodgy owners out there who are unscrupulous. and shady.

    c) Competent. see b). Plenty of loons out there who will bankrupt a club.

If the current owners had been more pragmatic, they could have sold this club 3 or 4 years ago. They have learned the hard way when they met other people equally intransigent and hard-headed. Result: no sale.

Where do the Allams go to from here?

Now that they attend games again, how will they take getting tonked every week?

What are their options: see us slowly but steadily sink week after week, dis-engage again (difficult now without losing face) or decide to give McCann (or someone else some money to halt the decline.

They have some strategic decisions to make, which they should have made 3 years ago.

I refer you to the eve of the 2015/16 season

where the fat **** said this team has more chance of been relegated than promoted.

I imagine any fc or rovers reporter saying they’re going to be relegated on the eve of the season wouldn’t be around long.

Agreed. Either change the system to suit what you have available, or buy players to suit your preferred system. Its called management. I don't normally call for a change of manager, especially just after a transfer window, and I don't now, but how many performances like yesterday will it take before something changes.

Not long I don’t think. Get battered next couple and he’s gone.

I agreed with him when he said that.

Entirely reasonable comment (although I’ve no idea what RL say for obvious reasons)

A couple of tough away games now and we don't look has though we have a goal in us, On a bit more positive note hopefully Elder and We Wijs will hopefully be back soon, Maddison will come into the side, the midfield needs sorting, I'm hoping Stewart is back soon but we need him at his best, id bring Batty in, we need some battling qualities. We've needed a consistent midfielder all season who can create and drive them on but didn't get one. Up front we need goals? Don't know if this young lad Scott is ready yet? It's not just yesterday it's the previous league games at home has well. Yes we have 39 points and it's a good job we have because it only needs this poor run to continue and that ten point difference will start to narrow. Overall disappointing at the moment but hopefully with a few back from injury we will start getting some points on the board, it's about time some started showing some guts and battling qualities.

to be fair, we've played that **** under every manager we've had since I can remember - the problem at the moment it's not clear where the leaders are who will get hold of the situation and turn it around - no Ashby, no Dawson type player and McCann doesn't give me any confidence that he has what it takes either - we can only hope, wait and see

When we went up in 2008, of all the things that side had, one of the most important was a strong spine.

    Wayne Brown, Ashbee, Windass.

Add in Barmby and Pedersen, even Clements who came in on loan.

All players who hated losing and demanded more from other players if they thought they were slacking.

No one outfought that team or bullied them.

I don't see many players with that spirit in this squad. Just as important as formations and tactics imo.

I reckon we should change it up entirely. Stick KLP and Eaves up top and hope that Maddison can provide the assists from RM. We need to play to what strengths we have left because Bowen and Grosicki weren't a good fit for any of our CF's.

We are essentially back where we where when Pearson took over in respect to the fans and falling gates. The blueprint for changing the support decline was designed at that time. New intelligent football interested owners with a football commercial background. The understanding that the club needs to re energise with the local community. If and it’s a big if the Allams can do one the difference is that we may be 2 divisions higher this time

Hull folk prefer supporting a winning team mate.

    Works every time...

Most supporters prefer to watch a winning team. It’s **** walking home when you have been hammered off the park and made a team like Brentford look like Barcelona. But it’s only half the issue. You want your team to put in the hard yards, make tackles, move for the ball and take the chances. You want to see someone giving everything for the shirt in which, just for once, you would have given your back teeth to wear on the park in front of the same people you have stood with. **** the money, you want to see some heroes out there leaving every drop of sweat they have out on the pitch. Then even if you have lost you know you they have given it everything. Sure I want Terry to get a system going, get the players organised and well drilled but don’t talk to me about motivation to perform. If you haven’t got that then **** off somewhere else. That’s what I want to see in the players and a team. No more no less.

Agree with all of that but not yet sure about how much better this group of players can get. You can't put the speed in their legs that isn't there, the skill they don't have, If they have that in them, then great.....but unsure they do. Hope they show they've got it.

Well you may be right but Terry has chosen most of them now and if they haven’t got it then it’s down to him. Let’s hope he has chosen well cos people won’t put up with performances like yesterday for a long time. There’s not a lot fickle about winning , either you are or you are not.

Not read all the thread, didn’t see the game. A point I would make, that may have been made already, is that Terry has a single system that he plays. He’s also brought in 15 1st team players. If he hasn’t got the players for the system he insists on playing then there is nobody else to carry the can & be held accountable but himself.

Some good away days in Division 3.

He has obviously brought them in and retains the faith that they will come good unfortunately in football you don't get long. I do think though that he and any other manager brought in are very limited in the fact of our wage structure and transfer fees. Let's be honest he can only look at lower leagues, loans or bottom half championship players to bring in. Nigel knew the score. Even de wifs hasn't signed his contract yet. Keeping Bowen and Grosciki for the first half of the season then they have hopefully done their job and been the main reason to keep us up.
