But Bielsa wanted this guy and was very happy with the signing, every player we bring in, Brown, Eddie, Blackman were all players Bielsa wanted, yet never gave a chance.I believe Bielsa is great at improving average players, into above average.
But as a tactical coach or Manager, I think it's very much a case of unproven atm, after Xmas last season and last 10 this season is a bit too much to be bad luck TBH, the ease with which average managers seem to be able to defeat him tactically isn't good.

Fair enough mate, I don’t know why these players do not play. Orta finds them, Bielsa watches the footage and okays the signing. Personally I think we’re miles better than any team in this division with a huge BUT we don’t convert the chances.

I disagree average managers beat him tactically, they just get lucky. You can’t account for a striker or attacking player missing from 6 yards out, you can’t account for keeper errors. You can’t say the Wigan coach was a better tactician, they dug a trench, got two shots in and scored with one.

They had 24% possession and two shots, we had 18 and only 5 on target, we had the ball in our possession another 10 times in the 6 yard box and did nothing with it. It’s frustrating, it’s infuriating but the players don’t miss on purpose. If you’re looking for a realistic answer it’s nerves and confidence.

WBA look at the talent they have yet they’ve slipped up just like us

Last year I left it for weeks Elland and it turned into broncitis and it took months and 4 different treatments to clear. This time I've caught it early so fingers crossed.<ok> It doesn't help with the team losing.<wah>

I appreciate that its up to us as the home team to take the game to the opposition. Something we did. But if a teams only intention is to have 9 players back at most times and rarely try and create anything, its quite hard to break them down. I know it's all about ifs and buts, BUT IF we'd not hit the post, I really think Wigan would have crumbled and we may have scored more. But it wasn't to be. <ok>

Depends how you look at it, maybe another thing to question Bielsa about our only forward being an 8 stone Little forward, if Millwall had 65 crosses, they would probably be champions by now. Edmondson is a big strong lad who could bully defenders 2 years back, why isn't he an option now.

Do you not think Brentford have the same, park the bus at their ground, they do watch the odd game, only difference is they have options and guys who can head a ball, even our centre half's can't head a ball.

Don't think WBA are as good as us, but they do have options, big or little players who they can bring on if needed, we don't have options, take one little guy off and bring another on, if you are going to play with wingers, you need players who can head the ball.

My opinion on Bielsa and why I’ve said before, if we get promoted I don’t mind if he leaves...

He moulded some great coaches like Pep and Pochettino, they are a lot younger, they are closer in age to today’s generation of footballer. He has worked in poor countries where players want to learn, they’re willing to give 100% and leave nothing behind.

He came here, we had a huge average squad, he had a great choice of average players and he shipped out those not willing to adapt and kept those willing to give their all and adopt his way of football.

You must have met some stubborn old fookers who are very knowledgable and clever but they’re not keen on anything new. If Bielsa had took control of us with his age and experience 20 years or more ago we’d have won everything.

I don’t believe Bielsa is great at handling the modern footballer, the footballer who believes he is the best. The flair Prima Donna, he is fine with the older ones like Pablo but the next generation, I think he just doesn’t “get them”.

Again, Orta know the character, strong and weak points of Bielsa, he should be finding him players he can work with for an immediate impact

Bamfords confidence in front of goal is at rock bottom. I believe his resentment at some criticism has led to this. I think his hands over his ears after scoring the winner against Millwall suggested this. Patrick get smart most supporters realise you have been one of our best players this season, but seeing chances missed by the team is frustrating.

    Let me guess your treatment

prednisone x 8 tablets once a day x 5 days, then start reducing them slightly.

Obviously that doesn't work, so the Doctor does a Bielsa and tells you to take exactly the same again for your next course.

How do you know Orta didn't bring in players capable of making an immediate impact, Eddid did make an immediate impact then was left out for Bielsa's favourite. Paveda was in Man city squad for competitive games, so you would say it possibly means he was better than Harrison who didn't ever get that far,Augustin has played at a much higher standard than the Championship, might struggle with the pace for 90 minutes, but to say he's not ready to play any game time at a lower standard is a bit much to believe.

So have all our best players apparently, Bielsa would rather we stay down than play someone who doesn't say how high, when he says jump.
Trouble is us fans wouldn't us rather stay down, we say sort the **** out and get on with it.

August in has played 23 times for PSG, Bamford wouldn't get in their third team, to say Augustin can't play 10 minutes in the championship against a team probably going to be in league 1 next season is rediculas, IMO

    Agree <ok>

Bamford probably thinks some of his better shots are well saved, he probably feels he does more running, pressing, putting a foot in and holding the ball up than a few around him and he feels the abuse he is seeing/hearing/reading is unjust, he probably feels the other stuff he does is unnoticed by the fans, he feels there are worse culprits than him.

We see it as missed chances costing us games and from a neutral point of view if we were top by 12 points because the rest of the team had chipped in with 15 goals between them we’d say Bamford was great, sadly that isn’t the case so we need to point blame.

His covering the ears was wrong, he won’t win sympathy and it come back to bite him yesterday with more missed chances.

23 times in 2015-2017 some three years ago, he scored twice. I’m not claiming he is ready or he isn’t ready. Someone far more qualified than I’ll ever be is making that call. Do some research on what fans of the other clubs think of him, they all believe he has a bad attitude, Bielsa and players with a bad attitude don’t go well together.

I hope it’s all wrong, I hope Bielsa believes he is ready sooner rather than later and that his goals win us promotion.

He started once, with 9 as sub in the 2016-17 season, replacing 2 forwards who scored 67 goals that season between them and you think he might struggle to replace barn door Bamford ?

I’m hoping he has no trouble replacing him, he only joined on Monday, he has probably had limited time with the squad as he settles in to a new country and finds a place to live. Bielsa says he isn’t ready, I accept that, if in two weeks time he still isn’t ready I’ll panic and ask why but not after being here 4 full days before we played Wigan.

That team we put out against Wigan should have crushed them, one man never lost that game, a keeper error and missed chances by many did
