Must have put in 30 crosses today and if their guy with the yellow hair had been our striker we would have scored about 6 because he won about 20 of them, Don't think Bamford won any crosses when challenged 5-6 unchallenged efforts, one on target straight at the keeper, from memory.

But Jamster, we see Leeds this dominant most weeks. What you're saying about the performance is nothing unusual, but when things aren't working, it doesn't get changed
A valid point.

However you don't need to win every game to be promoted, you just need to win enough to finish top 2 after 46 matches.

We're still on track and if you remember earlier this season we dropped to 5th after a few poor results but the performances were still good. Bielsa and the team turned it around with the catalyst seemingly Tyler Roberts, it may be him again or someone else but the message has to be continuity with maybe the odd tweak but definitely not wholesale changes.

We are on a ten game relegation form run not one or two, that's not bad luck, same as the 15-20 game bad run last season, we have no one good in the air, and no one good as a striker, can't afford to wait months for the new striker, any striker should have natural instinct to get in positions and for the money we are paying should be able to get some on target. If it's on target, the keeper has to stop it, if he doesn't keep hold of it, others can score the lose ball, but when 9/10 are off target, not only does it reduce your strikers goals, it reduces other players rebound goals.

This is what I've seen today...

One totally dominant team agaimst a team that hardly had a kick

A deflected goal that was just so fortuitous.

Wave after wave of attacks and enough good situations to have scored 3 or 4 goals.

And on here...babies screaming everywhere as they go out with the bathwater.
If it were a boxing match Wigan, Sheff wed Cardiff Etc would be in the black shorts

I agree. The team needs a catalyst to turn this run around. We are not going to get it with the current 11. Put big kev in!

I'm gonna say it! Get Bamford out of that team.

Also, you can see the defenders are scared ****less everytime a set piece is given against us. Lets get some composure back there and give Kiko a tracksuit for a bit. The lad Meslier has been great in the U23'S and shone on a big night at Arsenal.

Don't have to reinvent the wheel. Just fix the glaringly obvious. The keeper and the striker are the biggest problems we have. We have the players to try and rectify it.

Good players pick out team mates when crossing we just sling it in hoping for the best.
So frustrating isn't it.

Great positions leading to nothing because the player with the decision to make chooses the wrong one. For all people have a go at Bamford a couple of times his great movement would have resulted in tap-ins if he'd been picked out...and seriously he was wide open but just not spotted.

I think we missed Phillips today and Bielsa is the best Manager we've had for years. No other Manager has got us to this level. It's frustrating because he's OCD but I wouldn't swap him for what we've had.

We didn't miss Phillips, we played good football without him, and we bossed the midfield without him..

We lost to a stupid goal where Kiko let it go over his head, and no one was on far post.

However, we also lost cos we don't have a striker that can score goals, he's great at nearly goals, but nearly goals don't win games.

We also have a winger who wants to dribble around everyone, including the ref and the corner flag. Every time he tries it, which is very often, he loses the ball, trips over his own feet, gives the ball away or it goes out for a goal kick, everytime that happens he brings our attack to an abrupt halt and hands possession back to the opposing team.

It doesn't matter what level Bielsa has got us too, he got us to this level last season too, and he couldn't get over the final hurdle, if he doesn't get us over the final hurdle this season, then it'll be deja vu and we'll have to start again.

Levels during season mean nothing if you can't get over the final hurdle. I said at beginning of season, Bielsa's stubbornness will be our downfall and it'll come back to haunt him.

I hope we get promoted, but like last season, it's starting to look shakey.........again.

<whistle>
Even Kiko plays like a five foot keeper, and Cooper and White don't get their hair messed up.
I’m beginning to wonder have our two biggest earners KIko and Paddy got clauses in their contracts that they must be picked. Unlikely of course
<whistle> By the way if the Aussie with the dual account is reading they are fantastic <ok>

Sorry Jammy, Bielsa didn't turn it around cos we didn't get promoted.

What about all the chances that do reach him, where does the ball go then?.................I don't call him nearly Bamford for nothing.

Have a look at Brentford’s third today - difficult cross to the striker’s head.

Bamford and Harrison are probably guilty of the worst misses this season. There have been some truly horrendous attempts. Klich hasn't covered himself in glory either in front of goal.

I'm going all in on the way to fix it. Kiko and Bamford out and Meslier and Big Kev in. Not seen Poveda but apparently he is flying in training. If that's the case I'd put him in as well with Costa moving to the left.

That's me! All in! Won't be persuaded otherwise! Set in stone! That's how we win this league.

If the shots on target, they have to save it, 2 out of 3 of the millwall game Leeds goals were deflection and rebound off the keeper tap in, the problem we have is cross eyed Bamford can't hit the target, you get no rebounds when it's off target.

Bamford was most definitely not at his sharpest today.

I'm prepared to forgive him an off day, especially as he still worked hard and took up good positions.

Evening all,
I'm as pissed off as the rest of you, we dominate games and miss sitters, then get caught with a sucker punch(as OLOF demonstrated above)
We must give this Kev lad a chance, hes a number 9 just has to stick it in the net, there really can't be that much bielsa ball to learn.

Eire, how was the golf? I started playing recently, it's a bit like following Leeds, immensely satisfying or a total car crash.

Bamford works his bollocks off for the team and he won't be bullied either, he is not an out and out striker he's ****ing useless in front of goal, … but I would keep him in the team for his other attributes , i'd try him and JK to see what that would achieve, yeah I know someone is gonna tell me Bielsa doesn't play two strikers, but as I said, Bamford ain't no striker. whats to lose, another game maybe, some are happy with that, not this ****ing bad loser though<grr>
