Can't complain when you gift goals in stoppage time to bring the opposition back into the game. That's six points blown in past three games :emoticon-0121-angry

Entertaining game it has to be said, got to comment NP for going for it though.
We threw it away at the end of the first half but why did the ref go beyond 2 mins added time to nearly 5 in the first half. <steam>
I still think we are playing very well and are a match for most teams compared to the start of the season.
Thanks for you company all until the next time.

Needed to get at least a draw there. I couldn’t make it today but I guess that would’ve been a horrible game to be at. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Just 2 were put on the board? Why almost 5? Normally when I’m at the game I time everything - I would’ve been livid.

    Everton must love us:

    HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF!

What is it with Watford and Everton? At Goodison Park in 2017, under one Marco Silva himself, Watford threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2. They've shown their home fans what it's like this afternoon instead - and what a hammerblow that could be in their race for survival.

That is the sort of game and result that leads to relegation.

    Just so disappointed.

Didn't turn up 2nd half and then to rub it in Everton score from our own throw!

We looked like the the team with 10 men!

Yeah, we were very poor at the start of the second half. Success was superfluous, could’ve used Hughes on in his place.

We have actually played better with 10 men on the pitch Andy. Sometimes i think that it is not an advantage going a man up (unless it happens in the first half) - you inwardly relax thinking it's going to be easier and the 10 men's backs are up.

My thoughts on Delph, Everton were stronger with ten men because Delph was missing.

I'll never understand why he gets picked for England, I really don't rate him at all!

Well they did well by brining Keane on in defence for an attacker so basically replaced Delph in that sense.

Good point CH - we have won 3 games with 10 men!

For the winner Cathcart should have fouled Richarlison early on..

Such a shame as it's basically 6/7 weeks of good form being undone now.

And even more annoyingly we are still only 2 points off 4Th bottom..

As I said to somebody who said “Well it’s very close down there”, nineteenth is nineteenth at the end of the season, whether that’s goal difference or whatever. There’s no consolation in it being close.

I was quite relaxed at 2-0 up, and thought I would be enjoying another glass or two of my rather nice merlot. By half time I thought well if we can produce the form of the first half it will work out alright. Second half I realised that their drawing level had given them a big boost, while we seemed to have lost confidence. Oh well the merlot will drown the sorrows and dull the pain. Glad it is not a bottle of something fizzy that has lost its fizz.

Sounds like Chalobah picked up another injury which is a shame - was playing well.

Maybe Hughes might have been a better option to come on?

We ourselves went down to 10 men when success came on. I don't like to call out a player like this, and I want the lad to show us something, I really want him to do well and prove the doubters wrong...but he basically offered the square root of F all when he came on.
Losing?/substituting Chalobah cost us again, don't think he was injured I think it was tactical. Fair punt by Pearson, but wrong call IMHO
Next week is massive....it is the proverbial must win !!!
