As a reluctant Remainer I’m just glad that the squabbling is over. I really hope that the Brexit dreams of you who voted for it come true, seeing as I’m being dragged along with it against my will. However, now that it’s done of course I want us to get the best deals that we possibly can. I don’t believe a single word that BJ says - he has been caught out lying so many times I would have to look out of my window if he said it was daytime. He was VERY lucky that he had the unelectable Corbyn and Abbott as his PR gurus in the election. Anyway, I WILL celebrate, but not tonight. It will be when the Irish border, Scottish independence, the Gibraltar situations are all resolved, along with trade deals that boost our economy more than remaining would have done. When food and drug prices are proven to stay static and the 3000 people here in Swindon who are losing their jobs with the closure of Honda get reemployment with some other firm. That’s a genuine hope - I’m not bashing Brexit any more - there is no point. It’s here whatever we voted and whatever the reasons for our vote, so it’s in EVERYONES interest that it works. In Boris we HOPE - but I certainly don’t TRUST!!!!!
in your excitement drooling over nahki! don't forget he could make a different score line v QPR! [ if you do your entry!!! ]
The important thing is for both remainers and leavers to hold the politicians to account to deliver what they promised
I just want us all to get on with life and each other, we now all know the direction we must travel and that is up. We are still European just not ruled by the EU and I'm comfortable with that.
I’m less worried now, I’m just helpless really and as I’m planning on leaving the country anyway I’m more apathetic. The only thing I’m genuinely worried about is the Irish border. I’m an Irish passport holder myself, and for most Brexit issues there are at least 2 sides. For the Irish border, there still is no reasonable fix at all, which is genuinely a proper concern.
Hang on Mr Barnier, you told us all the car industry will leave the UK if we voted Brexit. Great news today for Nissan Sunderland but sad for Barcelona with thousands of Spaniards being made redundant. Macron will be apoplectic should Renault be next.
Honda UK have stated the reason for the Swindon closure, and the Philippines plant, is down to 'global car changes and their move to produce electric vehicles'. They also added it was 'nothing to do with Brexit.' Remainers will believe what they want as will Leavers. Nevertheless I'm delighted with Nissan's decision especially as we both like a bully, like Barnier, getting a bloody nose.
Our biggest concern is how this Chinese government has got away so far spreading this virus across the world and effected the world economy. Not to mention their stealth and stranglehold off Hong Kong this is going to get very very messy.
