I'm gutted tbh...for all his flaws (and there were many)..I loved watching kamil play...when he got the ball you sort of expected something to happen or could happen.. Thanks for the laughs kamil
Peterborough chairmen said on SSN that Maddison is going to a mid table Championship club about to sell two players. Make of that what you will.
That would soften the blow if it is us. Here’s DMACs interview. He confirms that it is not Charlton or Birmingham for Maddison.
I wouldn’t have Kamil in the team...as a left winger. Put him on the right wing then that’s a different story. Also, if we didn’t have Bowen as well, wouldn’t it put more onus on the rest of the team to put more of a shift in? Or even, not trying to be controversial, perhaps McCann would change the way the team plays, I.e. our whole game plan is to get the ball wide at every opportunity and then watch Bowen or Grosicki do everything else.
If we're not careful we'll end up being a very poor championship team fighting for survival. Bowen & Grosicki are the only reason why Adkins kept us up and now McCann has us safe in mid table. We're making the mistake of replacing players with cheap lower league/free players and it'll end in relegation next season unless we get new owners who actually give a ****.
Most of the players McCann has signed are under 25, so there's obviously a long term view in mind. Samuelsen will develop into a top player and despite Herbie's crapness last night, I can see a player in him and so can Liverpool (though if that player would come out, that'd be grand). Lopes looks a top prospect and it's hard to believe he isn't even 21 yet. Burke has improved massively, ditto Jordi, and with Batty, KLP and Salam trying to break through, it isn't looking too bad for the future. I said at the start of the season I'd take mid table and that hasn't changed. Any improvement on our finish last season is a plus and a sign we're heading in the right direction. It's easy to be disappointed having once again flirted with a play off push, but we're exactly where we need to be and way above where most thought we would finish way back in July. I'd focus now on gelling this team, getting their confidence up and getting the ****ing fans back. Even 14,000 cardboard cut outs and some matchday background noise during the game over the PA system would do it, as embarrassing as that would be
If promotion this year is lost and Bowen and Grosicki are realistically not going to be with us at the start of next season then they may as well go now. The only way they would stay, be kept or wish to stay would be if we had a chance of going up. As much as that pains me to say I don't think it's realistic so they may as well go now. Sorry folks. Mid table mediocrity.
