Not having Cedric here playing, is a frankly dumbarse way of saving on his wages. Of all the waste we have scattered around Europe, and we're pulling this risk.
Coincidentally, I just caught on Sky Matt Le Tiss's 100 Premier League goals... Doddsy made quite a few of them
Arsenal paying minimal fee under 1 million according to the Telegraph... Club really don't have a pot to piss in do they? As always with us one step forward, two steps back https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...oares-loan-second-defensive-addition-january/
Cedric is the least of Ralph's problems. If you think he wants rid, then you're crazy. This is a cost cutting bullshit enterprise if ever I've seen one.
To be fair it fits the Southampton way. We offload a good servant who has been solid but getting on a bit and bring in exactly the type of player Ralph wants. I don't trust the board, but trust Ralph.
So we really need a player that’s barely played for the last couple of years and is probably low on confidence to hit the ground running then. Not forgetting he’s very young too. Here’s me thinking with one fit RB and one LB in our squad we’d be strengthening with a loan deal. Silly me.
Shifting Cedric actually makes it harder for KWP. How utterly bizarre. I've always felt a bit guilty about agreeing when they binned Fonte. Not this time.
This does seem ridiculous. We must be paying KWP wages so we will be saving maybe £40k a week on Cedric plus the small loan fee. Cedric is pretty crap but he is a known quantity and good enough to keep us up. Seems we a taking a risk for a close to bugger all??
Indeed SS, just a few short weeks ago he was becoming the new comedy RB like Cuco the clown before him.
Now Rhett really has "gone with the wind".. Good Luck Cedric and thx for your service (not your crossing obvs!..)
I know our season is now going to fall apart because cedric is leaving.. But I'm not sure it will be so bad.. I like cedric and was sad to see him go last year, so pleased he's back but with a few months left, this kinda makes sense. If he knows arsenal came in for him and didn't let him go, he could quite easily drop in form and be a liability, so the move is good in that respect.. In regards KWP, I ssem to recall a similar sentiment to many of our much favoured signings.. Bertie, pelle, Armstrong, bednarek were all rather mah! signings at the time, but turned to be great. Even remember something about Steven Davis when he joined.... Let's trust in Ralph and his mission. He must believe KWP is the right fit.. And that he and Valery will be competing for the rest of the season which is kinda exciting..
