If they really cared they would have left the cups as they were and extended the season by one week (one game) which is all that will be missed in the winter break.
Nope. The FA are the most perfect randomness generator in the known universe. Not one of their decisions has any correlation to any other.
Don't know when but they need to adjust the seasons in readiness for the world cup being in Qatar soon. It can't just be during in that season
I think replays should be scrapped in both cups. Let the lower league team choose which venue to use. If they're in the same league, do it as drawn. Even lower league teams play weakened teams in the cups at times.
I'll be honest, I wish klopp had maybe just been quite when it came to the replay. If an under 23 team had been turned out and he was unable to attend due to a mysterious 24 illness nothing would have been said apart from the usual grumbling. Hes opened a can of worms at a time we could do with out any distractions. Not arsed whether hes right or wrong in all honesty
The fact he's going on a break himself makes it worse. If he'd said the players had been promised a break and they were going but he'd be on the touchline with the youngsters it wouldn't be half as bad.
I agree, hes handled it poorly, but it's why they interview them as quick as possible so they can get a reaction. In all honesty I see his point. It's not that hes not arsed about the cups, but we do not have the capacity to play in every competition. The players and management team need a break. If hed been a bit more circumspect though, this could of all been avoided quite happily.
That's like saying Mané's out so Klopp's going to play on the wing for the next couple of games #sortyourstoryout
Might be an U23s team, but it's a senior competition. I know you'd defend him if it turned out he drowned puppies on his days off, but I think it would look best if he turned out. PR, nothing to do with right or wrong.
The season prior and the season after the world cup will be affected. Of course the season containing it too.
Completely undermines the u23 manager imo. However I do hope Klopp is at least in attendance, or more likely at an all inclusive in Majorca
