Big one this ladies, I actually think we will come away with at least a point but going to be brave and predict a 2-1 win for the blue boys!
I know it sounds odd, after we've all been wanting a settled side, but I'd play Norwood tonight..think he'd be chomping at the bit, and will be fresh too. In mid, Huws has played a lot of games recently, hopefully hes up for playing one more as I dont think of want skuse back. I'm.gonna go for a hard fought 1 nil win, with Norwood off the bench for the winner
Rotherham looked a much better team than us when we played them at Portman Road a few months ago, and their pressing ability in particular caused us many problems. We particularly struggled with distributing the ball, remaining composed on the ball, and coping with physical opponents. Fortunately, our recent form and performances have demonstrated a renewed confidence on the ball. The settled formation, starting eleven, and style of play seems pretty solid now, which is good. Hopefully we have the quality to play through their press and dominant the match. Three at the back should hopefully mitigate some of the issues we had last time facing their physical, mobile strikers. Let's hope we show a bit more cutting edge than on the weekend. Having said that, I still think this'll be a tough match. I think we'll draw it 0-0.
I thought Rotherham played us off the park at P R but having said that we were in the middle of a bad patch when we couldn't beat anyone, so with a settled side and certainly performing far better since the new year we should be able to get something from this game. It's going to be tough because they are playing Well and scoring goals so defensively we will need to be good from the midfield back, just a bit of humble pie to eat here, not so long ago I said what a great disappointment Huws was but I have to say I was wrong and he was very good v Lincoln. We are still not scoring enough when we dominate as we did Saturday, still too much tippy tappy around their area until the ball is lost, for Christ sake someone take responsibility and have a shot on target and maybe we might just get one fly in the net.
Seen that Eriksen - one of the best and most proven midfielders and in his prime - has joined Inter for just £17m. Average players are being plucked from the Championship for not much less. The football world has gone mad.
I think the contractual situation has distorted that valuation, Hampy. From the 1st January, Eriksen has been free to talk to overseas clubs about joining on a free transfer in the summer, once his Spurs contract had expired. He has been adamant that he's wanted to leave Spurs as soon as possible, and has run down his contract to reach this point. He probably believed he'd be getting potential moves to the likes of Real Madrid on the open market, but Spurs have bit the bullet and accepted a decreased fee from Inter, rather than field a want-away player for six months and get nothing for him in the summer. I think they've done pretty well to get what they've received - considering the contractual situation - and the fact they've still managed to make a profit on what they bought him for several years ago.
All true and ultimately Spurs' fault for not tying him down or moving him on sooner - but it does make a total mockery of some of the fees that are paid.
With KVY out injured, not sure who else could play right wing back. Donacien could play in a 4-4-2 but not as a wing back. Bishop is the natural replacement for Judge but don’t think PL wants to risk him from the start
