Awful story in the papers regarding this very sad fire. Alledging the father barricading her in bedroom with him before starting the fire. What a terrible state of mind to be in to actually do that. So sad. RIP
RIP Kobe and Gianna. I lived in that area (Thousand Oaks) for over 20 years and drove through Calabasas to work in LA every day. I never remember fog conditions. Extraordinary. What a tragic accident. Kobe was an amazing athlete..and a great man !!! He will truly be missed.
Not sure if any of you lot would kow or remember Geoff Russel but he recently shuffled off this mortal coil. I was impressed that he taught and survived West Dock. Oh, and his dad worked with my Uncle Geoff (killed with his wife by a motor cyclist on Anlaby Rd at Saner St) at CD Holmes. The world is small ... until you're asked to paint it. https://leaderpost.remembering.ca/obituary/geoff-russell-1078320850

RIP Nicolas Parsons. Consummate straight-man to a large number of comedians. A long successful career.
55 years ago - unbelievable, seems like yesterday ! Absolutely no disrespect for the recently departed, it's just sombre music for the sad recent (& previous) passings.
Cap doffed to each and every one of them. And ground crew / ancillary staff etc. "Never was so much owed by so many to so few". Indeed. RIP Paul Farnes. And The Few.
