Hi Nick, they are keeping Sue in overnight. Luckily, it seems she is going to be in a room by herself so I can sleep in the chair. She is improved following the steroid injection. The X-ray was clear as were the bloods. Hopefully, home in the morning!
Hi Nick, they sent me home at 3am! They are awaiting the results from a swab test of the throat. Hopefully, Sue can home after that!
They are keeping Sue in tonight at least. They are trying to stabilise the asthma and identify the virus. The staff are now all wearing full face masks as they barrier nurse Sue. I’m not wearing anything like it!
Home. Sue looks much better. Visiting tomorrow starts at 11am - hopefully, I can bring her home. I’ve SBS meetings tomorrow from 8.30 so early start, but hoping to be called out early to collect Sue!
She was sounding ‘down’ when I spoke to her at 6.40, so decided to go straight there instead and gave my apologies. Still no diagnosis ....
Dreadful, but perhaps there has been an emergency, no matter, it is ALL about communication and THAT is inexcusable
