Been a massive change on the comms front from the club. I know it’s not the most important thing in the world, but appearing to at the very least have a human side is a massive change from before (and I think the people involved have gone way beyond that and are doing a very good job)
The irony is that our comms have improved immeasurably since the self proclaimed comms expert left last year.
100% agree. Massive change, (don’t think it was directed by Ehab). It now comes across as fun, light hearted & in touch with the fans. The previous comms were formal & business like not treating us as fans. Keep it up City!!
What the **** is that original story all about? If that was enforced I would have to take a vow of silence at work , nothing worse then when you start a job and ask what team they follow? .... oh I don’t like football , .... well this is going to be ****ing **** for us both then ..
Matt Smith - Scientist. circa 1997. New Starter. What team do you support Matt? I don’t follow football. What music are you into? I’m not really into music. How do you fill your time Matt? I grow & tend to my bonsai. Turned out first impressions were right, proper ****.
Ben, the current lad in charge of our social media, is a legend. He's been there for around a year and a bit and he's just taken it up several notches from where it was before.
Ben Towse, Daniel Briggs and Joe Clutterbrook are the principal players behind this improvement. Each one of them is a credit to the club. Such a shame that the events of the past few years have dampened the relationship between the club and many fans, as these guys are up there with the Ash Lords and Rob Smiths as far as backroom City staff go.
How long before Ehab sacks him - he doesn’t like people who are popular with the fans, small man syndrome !!
Great initiative but needs to be tweaked slightly. Discussion of local club and 85 other league clubs welcomed, but chat involving the other 7 not permitted unless the chatter is an active match attending fan of has a blood link to the area in which one of these 7 clubs is situated. Optional bans also on RL or CL.
This is not really true and just muddies the waters of what is going at at HCFC. I have yet to see any evidence of what you are asserting. Plenty of people have left or been eased out of the door. - but I don't recall th reason being because they are popular. It's usually because they have challenged the authority of the owners or have betrayed their trust, be they groundmen or managers. The Allams management style is autocratic. pragmatic and finance-focused They have made and continue to make mistakes in how they handle the football side of their business, in particular their customers. But they no doubt feel their management style has brought them spectacular wealth and is therefore beyond question by outsiders. They simply don't rate the appraisals of others..
Totally agree, lots of common sense out of these three and they are supporter oriented. Giant strides in communication and assistance compared to previous staff it is a very refreshing change.
Not only the social media dept but who ever authorised those banners hanging on the East Stand concourse was surely taking the piss. Been there a while now I know but why spend money on a banner claiming Hull City cannot be coloured in ? Positioned between one about Jack Harrison the FC war hero and another about FC breaking the 'world record' transfer fee for Billy Boston. Another claims we had six floodlights FFS. Hull City have broken the world record transfer fee twice. Once when we signed Neil Franklin from a South American club and again when we signed Les Mutrie from Blyth Spartans which was the then record transfer fee between a league and non league club. Surely better then 'Hull City cannot be coloured in' ?
It was Ehab who authorised it. To be fair to him he took his crayons out & tried for three days before declaring it true & authorising.
They might have to amend that first one, we signed Neil Franklin from Stoke City. I know because I read a very interesting book about it recently.
