Nice one mate. Not sure what I;m more impressed with - the sprint, or the fact you managed to post a video :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I'm more impressed it worked, the fastest ever 200m for an u15. She also ran the 60m sprint earlier in 7.59 seconds

I hope her parents can keep her interested in the sport.
They are going to be busy at the traveling if they succeed.

    If your 11 year old wasn't a mis-type, that's brilliant.

I've just looked up the English Championship Indoor Records for under 15 girls.
The 60mtrs is held by Katharine Merry at 7.35

You didn't give us the 200 time but my watch gave me in the region of 26 seconds.
    The record is 24.81.
It's pretty safe to assume that both records would have been set by much older girls, certainly Katharine Merry was either 15 or very close to it.

Wouldn't it be something to have another local to cheer on at the big Athletics events.
Aly Dixon is, presumably, semi retired now and the days when Steve Cram ruled the track are long gone.
(BTW he is STILL the holder of the UK record for the mile).

Do us all a favour and lets know how she gets on.

    PS.
I do have a stopwatch but haven't needed it for a while and couldn't find it.
And before some smart bu**er says it, yes, nowadays I'd need a calendar!!!<doh>
