Next up, the Norwegian "Fund" will be buying ****ing West Ham or something.

What the hell is happening too football. It's just a bunch of ****ing dimwits kicking about a ball. <laugh>

<laugh>

It really is. But 2 billion people worldwide stare at it and the World's second richest company, Amazon, have entered the bidding.

Script for the next week or so:

Saudi Arabia: Here's the £340million - ready to pay. What's the account number?
MA: I'll sell if you make an acceptable offer.
Saudi: Here. Ready to pay...
MA: Waiting to see the money.
Saudi: HERE'S THE MONEY.
MA: Tyre kicking timewasters. Never even made an offer...

MA: "Ok, let's begin."
Saud: "Yes, here is the £340 million as discussed."
MA: "I'm sorry, I don't speak Arabic."
Saud: "Excuse me?"
MA: "Sorry, what?"
Saud: "Sir, I don't think you're taking this serious"
MA: "Listen buddy, either start speaking a language we all understand or take a hike."

MA: It’s not enough.
Saudi: It’s the amount you asked for.
MA: But I want free advertising for 3 years as well.
Saudi: You never said.
MA: And I want to retain ownership of the Club Shop.
Saudi: What??
MA: And I want sole rights to supply the Bars at the Ground.
Saudi: No way.
MA: Tyre kicking timewasters. Never even made an offer...

Fixed.

Apparently Jim White said his mate told him who’d take us over is on a difference scale, even to Man City in terms of wealth. Literally, if this won’t get Ashley to sell nothing will.

This one does have some serious weight behind it, far, far more than the previous deals.

The advertisements going away, the increased amount of press, the silence around the deal, I am starting to believe. I'm an idiot because they will let me down again, but still.

It's happening.

We're no longer ****ed.

The stars aligned. Chaos has left.

Let the positivity flow once more.

Hope or belief?

Apparently what I’ve heard from a source who’s family work in Saudi is that Ashley is on his with back to the UK for further discussions, apparently they’re offering to pay 340m in one installment to which Fat Mike isn’t happy with as he wants instalments over 3 years as he wants to keep the advertising of Sports Direct for the next couple of years and also puma for the kits.

Puma for the kits? What possible benefit would that be to him? It’s an odd one. The advertising I can see as the club would take off big time so he’d want to be part of that.

For my two penneth I do feel the interest is genuine. I do feel negotiations have been ongoing for some time. I do believe Staveley wants to buy the Club. I do believe the Saudi’s and Reubens are part of the consortium and they will buy if they can agree a deal.

I also believe that Ashley will be the fly in the ointment and when a deal has just about been agreed will move the goalposts and ask for more either money or “extras” like free advertising, control of the Club Shop or it’s supplies.

This is obviously the biggest test as to whether Ashley ever meant he was willing to sell as there can’t be any issues as to whether the Consortium have the money or not. As has been said though Ashley doesn’t have to sell and he won’t unless he likes the deal. And for him to like the deal the impression I have is that he has to feel as if he’s “won”. Hope it goes through but not holding my breathe.

agree. Fatty doesn’t want to sell at all. Never has.
