wow what a game , it is a "I was there moment"
town did an incredible job htey all worked so hard preesed really well and won a lot of the 50 -50 goals, the keeper seem to have telescopic legs to stop Whalley, pierre did well to battle to gert a shot on target
i dont think may whould have given us much chance of going in at half time with us only a goal down from a well taken goal.

my heart sank when love scored an own goal , i doubt if many thought town had a chance after that .All credit to town for an amazing fight back, Lang forced a good save . what a cooly take penalty by Cummings, town had chances from Laurent , Edwards ,whalley and pierre , then a clinicaly finished goal from Cummings.

amazing game and a wonderful atmosphere.
the replay will bring some welcome income for town. i hope Norburn injury is not to serious

Don't know why we play so much better in the cup but, despite the euphoria of coming back from 2-0 down I am actually gutted we did not win as we had the chances. It was a moral victory to see Liverpool bring on three of their top players and still not be able to finish us off. Great finishing by Cummings but I must say Laurent was Man of the Match - his surging runs into the box caused them problems all night. Very gracious comments from Klopp - top man as well as a top manager. The bonus of us not being more clinical is I get to visit Anfield for the first time - I have seen Town play at 66 different grounds and this will be number 67. This tie is not over yet!!!

Thought you were unlucky from the half I watched. Played well and team should be pleased with themselves. Klopp did not want a replay that's for sure and at 2 - 0 up must have thought it was game over.

Nice to hear from you again Greeny. Will we be seeing your lads in the league again at the Meadow next season?

considering our team will be much weaker you really should go with serious hopes of going through .
Hope you enjoy your day even if it ends in disappointment <laugh>

any team you put out will be a tough challenge, if we can replicate this performance then we will have a good chance.

he was not the only one !
wich make towns second half performance even more remarkable. but what town did all game was they worked hard, tracked back, pressed Liverpool all over the park and won a lot of the 50 - 50 balls .

well if Klopp sticks to what he said post match you will be playing a mix of our U23 & U18 squads ,similar to that which we put out against Villa in the LC when the first team were away at club World Cup , and that deffo gives you a chance .
Having said that our 3 worst players yesterday were members of our regular first team squad so who knows .

Thought some of the fans on the Liverpool forum were a bit harsh on their senior players. They are returning from injury and seemingly having a comfortable evening until we got going in the second half - a below par performance from them was understandable in the circumstances, especially from the defenders as they did not get much protection from the midfield.

i thought so to but with the bar been set so high this season expectations are raised with it. the comentators mentioned Jones who scored and would get into most teams who has not played since the Everton game ! with so much strength in depth it must be tough to break through.

we have a cautious manager who is an ex defender and he has built from the defence , there has been a few occasions were four defenders have been marking one forward , we tend to sit deep and have a better safe than sorry mantra that leads to a lot of passes back or to the keeper. this has got results and we are not consistently hovering above a religation place, however we dont score many goals . a few game back he did change things with the lone forward having more support from Edwards and Whalley or Giles on the wing untill he went back to Wolves after they recalled him.

so in the performances against bristol and liverpool were we have shown more attacking intent at least in FA cup games has been a breath of fresh air.
after going two down wether it was "well we have nothing to lose we" played about 10 to 15 yards higher up the pitch and that did make a big difference.
the return from injury for Lang has been a boost, Cummings is without doubt the most natural gole scorer we have and he has played at a higher level but continues to have some issue were he does not play a full game and tends to come on for the last twenty minutes.
whatever happens the replay is financially very good news and ricketts mentioned after the match some of the money from these games whould be used to improving the infrastucture of the club.

No predictions from me about season's end. I thought we'd be safe last season and look what happened. Fingers crossed is all I will say. I do have a look around the boards from time to time. It's a lonely place on Not606 in league 2.
