I think Fergie had to sell him and Paul Ince to balance the books. Crazy how much difference a few mil made back then.
There were rumours at the time that Andrei had got himself in hock to some rather dodgy Russian mafia types, and needed the move for the signing on fee, so forced the issue.

He did, yeah.

Kanchelskis needed the money and Everton were prepared to pay him more, as well as the signing on money.

He asked for the transfer.

We had some fairly decent young players waiting in the wings!

He's coming to Newcastle when the Saudi state buys us lads.

You heard it here first, second and third.

The media and clubs hate raiola but players seem to love him, have never heard a player bad mouth him he must be doing something right. The release clause in haalands contract is genius imo he's going to be a 150 million plus player soon being sold for 50. It allows haaland and raiola to say to clubs hey you are getting a player on the cheap pay us more instead

Lukaku sacked him for being an idiot.

Yeah, that's awesome mate.

Take (even more) buckets full of money out of football and into agents pockets, great plan.

If it don't go to the agents/ players it stays with the billionaire owners of the club's I'd rather the players get a slice of the money

It stays within football as money that can be spent by the selling clubs on players, facilities, whatever, of their own.

If it all goes to agents and players, it's gone.

It's not ****ing hard.

And?

That wasn't really the point, was it?

I'm saying Man Utd are probably one of the largest contributors to this problem. Look at the fees you pay, the wages you give out and the utter lack of talent that sits in your squad without a bit of merit.

I wouldn't look at Dortmund and this transfer and say "that's a problem with our game." I'd look at Man Utd and say it.

That's what the glazers, kroenke and Mike ashley are doing? I wish that was the case but it's not

Who mentioned Dortmund?

Or any club?

That's not the point I was making. The point I made was

isn't as awesome a plan as you make out.

It takes EVEN MORE money out of the game.

At no point at all did I say such **** wasn't already on going, this just underlines and makes it a whole lot more obscene.

When you say out of the game you mean away from the club's right ? The club's are businesses whose sole purpose is to make money. If the money stays within footbal as you say it's still not being distributed to the local community or grassroots it's staying with the mega rich

And I know footballers are rich but most of them come from working class backgrounds so I'm all for them taking money from football

Team Raiola.

Greatest manager of all time thinks he’s a ****ing vermin but random fan on forum can’t see any issues with sweaty fat man who never stops trying to publicly generate a move for his star asset through the media.
