    Wild Rose.

Very good wee Scottish film about a wannabe country singer.

Julie Walters sports an excellent Scottish accent.

It's been mentioned mate. Aldo told everyone even before it first aired.

    It's what I do.

That and call fitba results with freakish accuracy.

It's also going to be showing Veep. Armando Iannucci is a genius. Looking forward to seeing David Copperfield.

Great series, surprised to see Bateman is directing them... very well.

A fine performance from Mendelsohn as well in the lead role. He's the kind of actor I'd look for in other series just to watch them.

    Star Trek Picard

Saw the first episode which was decent enough.

But in the back of mind I'm thinking would I be watching this if it didn't have Stewart/Picard in it. Just hoping the plot will be good enough to keep me viewing.

Considering it's called Picard then I very much doubt you would be watching it if Picard wasn't in it because it probably wouldn't exist. Silly cùnt!

A Serenity clone if you ask me.

Think the writers slipped in a few Brexit related themes though "No Surrender to the IRA" confused me!

I did think which prat would miss the point and refer to the title. Yes Aldo, it's in the title and yes it has Picard as the central character, but if it didn't, and he wasn't, would the plot in itself be strong enough to keep me watching, is what I'm asking myself. It's the cynic in me I guess.

I'd never heard of Serenity, just googled it and found a page full of "Star Trek vs Serenity" but not for this series, instead the 2009 Chris Pine reboot. I'll have to give it a watch.

Better to watch Firefly the series on which the film was based.
