A rare Sunday bet for me ...

Fontwell 4.20pm Kaymar 9/2. Henderson's only runner today. It might progress from it's last run which wasn't completely devoid of effort.

    Good luck all.

    Sedgefield 2.00 Kitty's Cove

Tim Easterby always to be feared with his hurdlers here. This flat winner could make its presence felt over hurdles. Nice each-way price at 12/1.

expected better today, but his Jumping wasnt Always foot.perfect,so that sealed his fate in the end..

    fontwell,2 50:

a modest contest, and not sure, what to expect from the majority of These on form, but BRITANIO BELLO,although he hasnt won for ages,is on a good mark again, and might have needed his Comeback run last time out(albeit over hurdles).

STAMP YOUR FEET is undeniably well treated on his former exploits, and though he hasnt shone for a while, should give a better account here.

Dissapointing run from my bet Caravation, Star Max did run well for 2nd alright but that doesn't do my coffers any good either. Thought sure we had that winner covered after finishing well ahead but as usual the formbook can often go out of the way when it comes to the smaller trainers.

And it has the sand bit coz the drainage the course is mainly on clay so it doesn’t drain very well and that bit used to get very heavy and waterlogged so a lot of meetings were called off so that eliminates that problem where as Plumpton is on chalk so drainage there isn’t usually an issue (I use plumpton coz that is the nearest track to it - otherside of Sussex!)

It’s a bloody long way from home that’s as much as I know.
Fantastic day out, he ran very well and got tired (I didn’t realise the kick up to the finish was a slope) and I think the ground was more testing than the going reading.
If you’ve never been to Fontwell it is worth a trip, lovely viewing course and pretty good facilities for racegoers.
