Yeah he's a work in progress but I think I speak on behalf of most fans in that he'll likely be a shining light in what's been a dark season for us so far, really excited to see him develop. I'm also happy for him to take risks with through balls too. I'd much rather he attempted say 10 a game and only succeed with 4-5 than take the ball and primarily look for the closest player and be safe, because the likelihood is one of those successful through balls could lead to a goal. It's what Modric was (and still is) the master at - "the pass before the assist" - if Lo Celso and Ndombele combined could be just a fraction as good as what Modric was, they'll be fantastic signings and players for us. We've been crying out for it for years and it's why I personally am so downbeat on Winks, because we're now finally seeing the calibre and style of player we've needed at CM for this football club. If we get an adequate DM/ Gedson grows into the role, we'll have a quality midfield three that we can use as a base to begin building around.
Genuinely think journos copy and paste this story every bloody window around 1 week until the deadline closes. Really wish I got into journalism, seems the easiest job on the planet.
Without reavealing my source I know that Spurs are trying to get this done. It’s just a case of money, Bale will only le There is some truth in this, however it remains to be seen if Spurs can financially put together a package that works for Madrid and Bale.
Funny you should say this cos my source says this story is a serious case of "liar liar pants on fire."
Spurs are trying to get a deal done, apparently Bale is interested but wouldn’t want to walk away from such a lucrative contract. Madrid want Bale out, they are looking at using the money from a transfer fee to compensate Bale. There’s a possibility it could happen but a lot that could fall apart.
As if we were going to offer anywhere close to that release clause - from what I have seen of him we have offered about the right amount if Balague is to be believed
At a guess, Sociedad probably realised that our offer of a £15m loan fee with an option to make it permanent in the summer was going to net them £15m and not a penny more
Steven Bergwijn’s name has cropped up again (linked around this time last year) and rumours even that he may not even play today due to a potential transfer. Lot of different news outlets covering this, including a couple of Dutch ones - which are often very bang on.
To add to the above, I’m not completely surprised at this link either, Son and especially Lucas are terribly inconsistent players so to have another wing forward is a smart move from Jose should it come to fruition.
Bergwijn Watch Voetball International and Football Oranje both report that PSV winger Steven Bergwijn has requested he be left out of today's match with Twente as he hopes to join us Does he really want to be this decade's Leandro Daimao? Bundesliga Rando Watch Record (that's the Portuguese one) report that we're interested in Freiburg centre back Robin Koch, who just so happens to have 18 months left on his contract. I don't know why I'm feeling suspicious about this one... Parrott Watch The Daily Star report that Charlton are preparing to loan in Troy Parrott. Credit to whoever found that story, as judging by the source it was hidden deep inside someone's cleavage...and just as false as they are
