Apparently we are making an attempt to bring in Paco Alcacer on loan from Dortmund with a £25million purchase option. He's out of the side so would be another characteristically opportunistic move such as the Bentaleb and Lazaro transfers. He's managed 7 goals in his 15 appearances this season, 19 goals in 32 last season on loan with them and 19 appearances for Spain with 12 goals...
Wasn’t he the so called super sub? Used to bring him on for a couple of minutes and he would score two or three goals. Very good finisher - him and Joelinton combined would make one decent striker who dioesnt get injured.
He has a good record for Dortmund with a 1 in 2 ratio ( though not many games played) and his time at Barcelona was poor. His record at Valencia is 1 in 3. Basically a slight improvement on Andy Carroll. That said when he joined Dortmund he was only 23 and as his ratio had improved as he has matured then may well prove to be a quality signing as he reaches a strikers golden years
23 goals in 37 Bundesliga games isn't bad! Especially when he doesn't start every game. I'm not sure we'll pull it off but it would be a huge coup if so....
Can’t even describe the upgrade this lad would be on any striker we currently have. Won’t happen like but I quite enjoy watching a bit of bundesliga and he definitely knows where the goal is. Funny tho, all these players on loan/linked with a perm to buy, so say if we got Paco, 25m at the end of season. 20 roughly for Lozaro and 8.5 for bentaleb, telling me Ashley will fork out over 50m in the summer. That’s why I don’t believe half the sh’te what comes out. they’ll probably be decent players but I don’t think for one minute they’ll plan to actually buy them other than possibly bentaleb. How does playing 15 games this season constitute being "out of the side" ?! He's got 26 goals in 46 games for them, why would they be ditching him? Plus he's a striker and for some reason we are adverse to signing strikers despite our obvious need for them, so yeah it ain't gonna happen.
