yes they were the better team without doubt, but two poorly defended goals have cost us there, great effort and did well to keep it as close as we did, no shame in losing 1-2 to them.
All I heard in the bar was Meyler talking, I think it’s Joe Cole saying 4 or 5 & then Hoddle probably talking sense. (He might be a loon, but he knows football!)
Anyone wondering whether Bowen is good enough or not will have no doubt after he looked just as good running against Chelsea players as he did running against Rotherham players. Might see him leave this month after that. Thought we played well most the game really just a shame we didn’t start with the team that finished it. Eaves too slow mentally and physically, his size isn’t enough to see him past a good defence. Wilks, the manager obviously knows him but.... he literally didn’t look like he belongs on a football pitch. And not even in a piss taking way, in a fully serious looks like he had a footballer experience gift voucher. McKenzie surprisingly looked alright. Still would rather have seen Lichaj right side. How strong was that Chelsea team compared to their league first 11? Lots of big names in it but I’ve no idea who plays for them anymore.
The first was really bad. Defenders all over the place, all going for the same ball, Da Silva seemingly decided to just stop tracking his man. It deserved to get that deflection taking it out the keepers hands.
Good job you aren’t in the KCOM uttering that sort of stuff. There would be a stage 1 tannoy announcement.
