There have been positive signs since being battered here on new years day. Its not great but it is definitely improvement...drawing here ain't a bad thing and it was not undeserved. On a another day we would win that ... 3 weeks away we'd have lost. Coys
It looks like Eriksen and Rose are finally history. No matter that the alternatives have little or no PL experience, they do represent the future and seem to give a ****, which is a big improvement. Playing 4-3-3 suits us, especially away from home. However, it's worrying how unfit some of the players look and how reluctant Mourinho is to make changes.
Excellent commentary service - thanks everyone shame we couldn't hold on but it seems a draw was about right
Oof, he’s really starting to come alive now. Today didn’t have too many positives for me but this lad is starting to look the real deal. Him and a fit Tanguy in the middle - drooling. If only Eriksen stayed and played like he could, seeing those three on top form supplying Kane would be footballing porn. Though at Spurs, we’re not allowed to be spoilt
Here's the thing: football doesn't work the same way that people wish it would Case in point, we all had impure thoughts about what Defoe thriving off VDV would do - but in reality the Defoe/VDV pairing was so much less effective than Crouch/VDV Similar thing (could...) apply here: a midfield of Ndombele and Lo Celso running things could be a beautiful thing...but that doesn't mean it could be more beautiful if Eriksen was at the tip of a midfield diamond featuring those two, as in all likelihood Dele would be far more suited to that role
He has. He's been out on loan. One of those misleading stats that makes you think he's been hiding in a bush waiting for Spurs to turn up.
Pretty much how we feel about anyone who scores against us. Seriously though, I think the turnaround of Saints' season is one of the big stories in football. From a pretty dark place they are suddenly a team to fear. The manager deserves a lot of credit.
We still have troubles. Our owner has borrowed a lot of money, we have massive fee/wage players out on loan, but 99% of us were behind Ralph. You can tell he's something special, not just getting an extra 10%, but more like 25%! I'd happily give Shane Long a new one year extention, Shane Bloody Long!
"I think the boy is earning the decision," said Mourinho. "He is making it an easy decision for the club to execute the options. "Incredible evolution since I arrived. By himself he made the decision that the club is going to execute the option." Jose on Lo Celso
Son should have had 3 or 4. Really needs to up his conversion rate and we would be winning matches comfortably.
Not only has he come back from his red card with a lack of something ( confidence/finishing ability) , he is also being asked to help out the LB position, which would also affect the finishing.
The replay is on Wednesday 5th February and is priced at a fiver more than the Boro game. £25 for adults, £15 for kids and £20 for seniors and young adults (18-21), with family packages available for £50 (2 adults, 2 kids).
