Scored 2 goals for Dortmund last night after coming on as a substitute in the 65th minute. He now has 5 goals in 59 minutes (2 sub appearances). If he could keep this ratio up for a full season, he would finish on 117 goals. Obviously that is not sustainable but I do think this lad could smash goal scoring records in all competitions in the next few years. He's hugely talented and is choosing his career path brilliantly so far.
Hope he doesnt go to united because right now they are a shambles. OGS seems to think adding good players will by itself magically improve the team. He bought arguably 2 of the best defenders last window and they remain a circus at the back. A bad cook will not dish up a good meal regardless of the quality of the ingredients
I doubt he’s gonna go to United 2 weeks after signing for Dortmund He is the real deal, when I’ve seen him in champions league, it’s not just goals he’s a proper player. Runs the ball so well for a lad that height got a hint of Ibrahimovic about him on that score. Absolute baller already and Dortmund make players better, he could really be another level.
A bit of a below par performance for the lad today - he only scored 2 goals in 77 minutes. 7 in 136 minutes so far. In the same game, Jadon Sancho scored to become the first teenager to ever score 25 goals in Bundesliga.
The ridiculous stats continue. After scoring again tonight, Haaland is now among the top 10 scorers in the Bundesliga this season despite only playing in 5 games and never a full 90 minutes so far! In other Dortmund news, Jadon Sancho scored again to make it 12 in his last 14 games. This lad has to be one of the first names on the teamsheet for England this summer.
Another 2 tonight... This time against PSG. This guy is the real deal and he's still got so much room to improve.
And looks an absolute bargain at an estimated €20 million. Or to put it another way less than half a Joelinton
Ping! The only drawback I see is his agent. He’s with Raiola who always likes to move his footballers about every 2-3 seasons so he makes an absolute mint. He’s got a release clause with Dortmund for only 60 odd million. Every big club in Europe will stump up the money for him. He didn’t go to Man Utd because they wouldn’t put a release clause in his contract. Says it all.
Raiola definitely has the potential to be an issue. I don't think that reason for not joining Man Utd is accurate though. I've listened to some pretty astute European football journalists suggest that Haaland himself is very interested in taking it one step at a time: when he went to Salzburg, he had offers from big clubs all over Europe but wanted a team where he would play immediately. He's done the same with Dortmund, and to be honest, they are a selling club so they'll have no problem losing him in 18 months for his buy out clause.
