In defence M'Lud, Henriksen had to adjust coming from Holland, whereas Honeyman only had to adjust coming from Sunderland. Oh, I get your point...

I think Henriksen improved a lot and he was club captain. it's strange to pay him and not play him whatever happened.

If I recall correctly he could also cover a range of positions including at the back, which would be useful considering our current injury situation.

No news is good news, it means Bowen hasn't left yet.

I’d say Honeyman had the tougher job.

It was almost impossible not to improve given how piss poor he was when he arrived. Still not convinced he would get in our current midfield. He slows play up too much and he wasn’t quick enough across the ground. Re the captaincy I couldn’t think of a worse appointment.

Hull City have had a bid rejected by Stockport County for highly-rated defender Festus Arthur, Football Insider understands.

The 18-year-old centre-back has emerged as a transfer target for a number of clubs, including Premier League high-flyers Leicester City, after catching the eye for the National League side this season.

A source at Hull has told Football Insider that the Tigers hoped to steal a march in the race for the teenager’s signature by firming up their interest with a bid.

However, the non-league outfit have rebuffed the Championship club’s initial offer, even though the central defender is out of contract this summer and could leave for nothing at the end of the season.

He wouldn't leave for nothing would he? They would get a compensation?

He only signed for them in May, maybe he doesn't qualify and he's currently out on loan at Halifax, so maybe they didn't try to keep him.

Looks to be mid-thirties anyway <laugh>

On Bowen I wouldn’t be surprised if Chapman or someone is telling Arsehole Nixon to make this up about Leeds to try and trigger Prem offers.

Bowen's agent offered him to every Premier League club and there were no takers. Only 2 clubs that want him are Leeds (low payment upfront and big sum if promoted due to their FFP obligations) and West Brom who have no money. He will stay until Summer

I don't think he'd have been allowed to play Bowen today, if Bowen was leaving.

Can McCann ask Frank if we can borrow Gilmour. He looks a serious talent.

I think he’d have been told to play Bowen today, to put him right in the shop window.
