Remember in the 90s the front rowers were not much over 5'4, now they are more like 6', changed days indeed.
Ignoring the fact for a minute that I think that this is all bollocks, why should they consider changing it? Christians generally see Sunday as the Sabbath, but Jews and Muslims have similar traditions for Saturday and Friday, respectively. Should they just stop playing rugby on the weekend entirely?
No, just don't give the muslims or Jews have a say in the matter. When it is the "Chase the goat then kill it" world cup, then we will play on Sundays.
So we should cater for fundamentalist Christians (those that believe the Bible is literally true), but not for those of other faiths? Why?
FFS, it was a bastard joke, give me peace! They are not considering changing it, but it doesn't change the fact that he is well within his rights not to play on a Sunday. Yes, he "hopes" it will change, but obviously it won't. So, you are arguing about something else entirely. My point is, it does not make him a **** for not playing on a Sunday in the same way it would not make a Jewish player a **** for not playing on a Saturday, capiche?
You do realise this is an article about a man who won't play Rugby on a Sunday because he doesn't want to offend 'God'?
He's within his rights not to play on a Sunday, just as it's in the OP's rights to think that he's a **** for not doing so.
That's why ( by and large ) we have FREE WILL. - and the OP is ' entitled ' to their opinion. I have stated my disagreement with that opinion. What was not FAIR was the UNQUALIFIED opinion of the OP to call Murray a c***. That is my objection on the thread. -There is too much name calling without a reasoned argument - to which i will always listen even if I may not agree.
