For more quality entertainment, here's a Mail hack trying to start **** with WindyCOYS for an honest assessment of Murdoch's Hate Comic (and also coming to the same about the "insider sources" that I did...)

    Lo Celso very good tonight

Sessegnon looked out of his depth tonight

Wtf does Riksen think he’s doing having a go at Sessegnon for the run when it was Eriksen who played a ****e pass. I think it was Hoddle I was listening to...I think he called it right when he said that it showed a lack of leadership at the club when a senior player is popping at a young kid especially when it’s not even his fault. Miserable bastard...**** off out of here.

Dier looked a bit more comfy at CB than DM but not up to scratch in either.

As usual lots of bad decision making upfront

We need to put a bid in for Max Aarons in summer, can’t see it happening now...infact can’t ever see it happening but you know what I mean

No style and very little substance.

Furthermore it seems to be getting worse week by week.

Lo Celso was brilliant, Aurier was good, the rest were poor. If we can get Ndombele back and linking up with Lo Celso though I think things will come together again going forward but it's far too sloppy otherwise. Defensively, Toby's still nowhere near his best and I'd prefer it if we hadn't given him a new contract but putting him next to Jan, who has unfortunately lost his touch completely, it's just a disaster. We deserved the win but only because we were up against such a poor side.

It's such a poor standard of refereeing in this league that it's really no surprise when a ref has a shocker but we've had Kavanagh a few times this season and he's been awful in all of them. Worst ref in the league by some distance.

This Jose fella is costing me an absolute packet. I'm beginning to wonder,,,'is he actually past it',
or are we expecting too much.

You know tonight it felt good seeing Lloris between the sticks...as much as I’ve criticised aspects of his leadership in the past...tonight I felt a bit more assured having his experience in the team...it’s not as though he had or needed to have a Worldie but we seem so lacking in mentality as a team in general that his experience is a welcome boost.

If you’re expecting him to turn turds into diamonds then you’re expecting too much.

Here's hoping that L'Equipe weren't bullshitting about our Soumare bid

A midfield that can actually control the game will make a fair number of our problems go away

Yep, Mike Dean was the VAR, so no chance his bad tackle would have been given as a red. I thought it was a dirty tackle and I have seen reds given for similar / less.

Yes but., that move might well be a waste of money because apparently Jose isn't doing midfield football anymore.
Hence, nobody shielding our defenders and definitely no creativity for the forwards to feed off.

Just got home. Bit of a weird game, felt at times we played some really good football but at other times completely switched off.

Think our lack of a striker really shows/ showed though, a number of times we could’ve done with someone to hold the ball or win a header. I don’t care if it’s Willian Jose or someone else, we just really need a centre forward in pronto.

Gio was absolutely phenomenal and Aurier also had a very good game.

I thought all three subs done well too. Dier made a couple of good tackles in midfield and then slotted into CB nicely. Eriksen helped us take more charge of possession. Gedson also helped smooth things over.

Unfortunately Sessegnon was terrible. I’ve been massively unimpressed by him so far. Long way to go though.

Honestly I'd say that, in spite the result, having Aurier & Sessegnon as fullbacks was a mistake. If we had a midfielder who can drop back into defence when the two bomb forward, as Dier or Wanyama used to, it would be fine - but when we've got a weak midfield without anyone who possesses any defensive instincts it's asking for trouble when we inevitably start to lose control of the match in the 60th minute

Thought Eriksen was a bit of a plank tonight

Did he get done with a flick in the box or did he shy away from putting a foot in?

Plus having a go at Sessegnon when it was himself who ballooned an attempt to play the ball down the line...no need...Sessegnon looked shot as it was.

I actually thought the idea was right, Sessegnon just wasn’t on the same wavelength. No one’s fault on that though in my opinion, Sess hasn’t played with Eriksen long enough. Two years ago a prime Danny Rose would’ve gotten on the end of that pass and got a cross in because he would’ve been making the run, Sess was sort of stop starting and it ended looking like a **** pass but I won’t really blame either player, just miscommunication/ misunderstanding.
